Your smoke alarms may be hard-wired and also have a battery backup. If this is the case, the batteries may need to be changed. If there is no battery issue, then it may be that the alarms have aged out and simply need to be replaced. Regards, Joe

SOURCE: the alarms are hardwired together

They simply may need cleaning, due to a dust, lint or spider buildup in the sensors. You can accomplish this by using canned compressed air (like you clean your computer with) Attach the straw nozzle to the canned air, remove the detector cover(s) and with short bursts of air, clean the interior of the detector. When that's completed, blow out the detector cover. Before, your replace the cover, you should change the backup battery(s) in all the units, if it's been a year, since you last did it

Doing the above should solve your alarming problem..

Why does my smoke alarms not all go off when I push test button?

I am assuming that your detectors are interconnected to all sound at the same time.
Pushing the test button is not the same electrically as an alarm activation.
The Kiddie manual does not mention the sequence of operations when the test button is pressed. You may want to contact Kiddie to find out if this is ok.
You can also test your detector with smoke to see if they all sound like they are supposed to.

Two of my smoke alarms went off (no fire/smoke in or near house), one has a green light blinking and one has a solid green light, which need a new battery/reset?

The constant green LED means the alarm has AC power.
A flashing green light every 2 seconds without an audible alert means the unit recently sounded ( was the one activated ) and is now in latching mode to let you know that it was the unit that detected the problem. To clear the latching mode hold down the test button for 5 seconds.
Red LED flashing once per minute means that the back-up battery is connected and functioning.
Red light flashing constantly during alarm means that it is the unit that initiated the alarm siren.

False alarms in the middle of the night

Sometimes an alarm will malfunction if a small spider or insect gets inside and also if it's in an area where it;s dusty will set it off as well. If you can take the face off you can lightly dust them or lightly blow them out with low air pressure. I even vacuumed our low one. High humidity will set them off as well.

My kidde AC smoke alarm I12020 chirps at night then come daylight it makes no noise

Most "chirping" is indicative of low batteries. Perhaps your smokes are improperly wired through a light switch? As to locating, try using a piece of tape over the sound port to change the sound; with these problems there are often more than one causing it. Check also to see if you have any CO alarms that were plugged into a switched outlet. Most of these also have battery backup. Good luck!

There may be dust built up in the sensing chamber. This can cause alarms to go off for no reason. Try vacuuming the alarm off particularly around the sensor if the cover is removable. These alarms should be replaced however, as they are more than 10 years old.
