If you turned it on right away, chancer are-it's fried. Open it up and remove the battery and simm chip if you can. Set it in a warm place for at least 3 days to dry out internally. After 3 days, put the battery back in and try it out. Id it doesn't come back on, you need to replace the phone. If you ever drop anything electronic into any type of liquid, immediately remove the power source without turning it on and let it dry out for at least 3 days before trying it out. Even the smallest amount of moisture will short out the delicate electronics inside.

Turn off the phone imediatly if its still on. open up the phone by taking off the covers and unscrewing them. bring a hair dryer and dry the board then when its completely dry, use a toothbrush to brush any resedue off of the board. then spray it with any type of alcohol product and brush it again with the toothbrush. cover the phone and turn it on.

How do you fix phones that fell in water?

try using a hair dryer on low setting on phone to dry it out and placing the phone in a jar for a while with raw rice. Electronics and water do not mix so it may not work you may have damaged circuitry beyond repair.

Phone fell in water

If it's at the point where the screen isn't working properly, it's dead. If you have some kind of extended warranty, it may cover it, but there's no real way to bring it back from being water damaged, unfortunately.

Water under the touch screen

you can either put your phone in rice, or take your battery out of your phone and wrap it in a towel so it wont melt, and put it in the oven so the water evaporates.

My nokia e7 fell into water and won't turn on

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

My phone fell in water briefly. did i ruin it??

Most likely you did. I reccommend drying it on a vent if it is still wet. Just like washing your phone, it can ruin one sitting in water briefly. This is hard to fix, you may need a new phone.

My Samsung Alias wont completely start up!

I'm very sorry to say your phone is not going to work again. It has clearly been damaged from sitting 4 ft under water for over an hour.

The phone was on, you dropped it and the water found its way inside and shorted it out. It's a miracle that it is able to turn on at all.

The rice method does work if your phone got splashed with water or fell in water and was taken out promptly.

Sorry about your misfortune, you will need to replace your phone. Thank you for trying Fixya!

N70 Fell in water, Only White Screen is Shown

Don't put the battery / power on. Take the phone to the mechanic / nokia service center on urgent basis. They will remove the remnents of the water and salt over the circuit.
If the problem is still not solved, either the power supply or the motherbaord will require a replacement.

Hi!

My phone also fell into a bucket full of water. I just gave the phone to the service center for repair and it's now absolutely fine.

I would suggest you to do the same. Also, don't try to switch on the phone as it may lead to short circuit in your phone.

Thank You
