normally in Hunter fans its not the controller but the receiver goes out, if your controller has a new battery and the receiver doesn't get the signal,, the fan isn't going to work, I've never been able to Locate Hunter receivers, tons of the remotes, you can contact them on line at this link

I need a hunter remote control unit part

This particular Hunter remote control unit has been known to have interference issues for some time now. It is very suceptible to picking up other transmissions, such as those from TV remotes, etc.

If you're having intermittent operation of the fan and/or light, you can try setting different codes for both the receiver and the remote.

That being said, the best source for a replacement unit is directly from Hunter, since you might also still be under warranty you might get it replaced for free, if you remembered to fill out and mail the warranty card!

Of course, if you just want to replace a lost or broken remote, give them a call and order one (or two and have a spare!).
To speak with a live Technical Support Representative call: 1-888-830-1326 (United States) 1-866-268-1936 (Canada) Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Hunter ceiling fan (model no. 25736) and light not starting

Home Depot sells universal remote systems (transmitter and receiver) for around $30 (in Delaware & Pennsylvania) -- don't know price in Chicago).

I'd just replace it. Hunter may be correct that they are the only source for the receiver, but if you get a new transmitter as well, you don't need their receiver. The labor is the same either way.

Hunter ceiling fan(French Quarter model) remote

The fan receiver is receiving signals of the proper frequency from sources other than your remote. This is very common. Could even be your neighbors remote...if you have neighbors...

If it's a real problem for you, you could try changing the frequency on your units (see owner's manual) -- that might help, or it might make it worse.
