Here is a complete service and repair manual for your refrigerator. It has everything you will need to know about this fridge. The manual has how to run all the diagnostics to determine which parts may have failled.
It is likely that you have ice build-up on the tubes behind the back of the freezer. This will prevent effective heat exchange and block air flow AND can cause the water line to freeze. Same exact thing happened to me. Look at the back wall of the freezer. If there is any ice/frost on the wall and ESCPECIALLY if you can see ice through the ventilation holes this is probably it. You will need to defrost the freezer. Uplug the unit and take everything out of the freezer. Put a towel in the bottom and leave the door open. If you want, you can try blasting it with a hairdryer, but even with several spells of hair dryer it took my freezer 18 hours for all the ice to melt. This seems to be a common problem with Samsung side-by-sides. Good luck.

If your coils are froze up, this could be temperature sensor I believe or your defrost valve, usually back in the fridge is your coils if they are frozen solid you need to unplug refrigerator freezer let it thaw out, you will have lots of water so get towels and stuff to soak up your water once it is thawed, plug frigerator freezer back in give it time to cool back down if the refrigerator side is cool now then I would say defrost valve or temperature sensor will need replaced there also should be a fan that blows the cold air into your refrigerator,, was it run for about a day or so if it starts freezing up again that's more proof defrost valves not working
Is the compressor running? If so, feel the discharge line is the line cold? If not the unit is probably out of Freon, which means it will have a leak somewhere in the system.
Sounds like might be the Temperature Control Thermostat or some sensor in the circuitry telling the compressor and cooling parts to keep running because it thinks it isn't cold enough. There is probably a circulation fan to blow the cold air through the damper and it may not shut off either, conveying too much cold thermal conduction through ducting and all frig parts, regardless of damper being closed or open. With the temperature set on low, do the compressor and fans ever shut off once cold temperatures are attained? Freezer should be 0 or lower, frig 35-40. check this video at RepairClinic.comhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vA8Ksv5kVY&feature=player_embedded
Hi, yes, your thermostat could be faulty, yes there should vent( damper), check controls on freezer side, controls amount of cold air going to ref. side, yes could be stuck by ice, yes both adjustment are necessary, check manual, some thermostat are very sensitive, you should adjust gradually, wait for about 40 minutes, before adjusting again. yes there's vent flap (damper) yes that could be your problem, normally they get stuck with ice, remove covers to locate it., you 're smart, you will see, damper, good luck.
Is this a self defrost model? Frost inside the freezer could be an air leak around the door gasket. Remove the back panel in the freezer and completely defrost the coils. Is the fan running in the freezer. That will make the frig not be cool. With the door closed peek in the gasket to make sure the light is shutting off, this will warm a frig also. Eric
sounds like your defrost timer is not working properly . Most fridge/freezers the fridge gets cooled from the cool air from the freezer . But when the defrost timer is not working properly the section between the fridge and freezer freezes up and hence doesnt allow the flow of cool air into the fridge. The defrost timer can be easily replaced.
I have the same problem. I also noticed that the water line in the
refrigerator freezes up too. I
