Question about Arris SURFboard SB5101 Cable Modem
All you need to do is to connect the ethernet cable to the internet port on the back of the linksys router and then plug the routers power cord into the wall and you should be ready to go.

You have to reset the modem from behind (little pin hole) with the modem and router not connected via ethernet, the let it restart and reset the router after both are reset connect the ethernet cable between them.
