I accidentally locked my cursor. I'm in Word. I leaned (unwittingly) on my built-in mousepad, the little light in the NW corner of the "mousepad" went on, and locked the cursor. How do I unlock it?

Whats the model of your laptop, it may have a button combination to unlock the mouse, or even a single button that locks / unlocks it.

You could always plug an external USB mouse into it in the meantime.

Cursor appears to be locked, but cordless mouse works

Depending on the model of your computer, there could be a mouse lock. It is usually near the mousepad but might not be. What is the brand and model name?

My mousepad it is locked on an Acer Aspire D255-2DQkk after a game that I was playing has locked and I needed to reboot the Netbook

The game has some software which made the computer to lock its mousepad up. There's a way to unlock it after playing the game. Just press FN and F7 keys altogether. It should work.
