I would suggest taking it to a service shop unless you have the skills and equipment needed to implement a repair.

I have a peavey pvi-8b powered mixer. It powers up normally but doesn't have any sound at the speaker output. What can I check for? Thx Andre.

Assuming you have tried other cables and speakers to be sure it's the mixer, I would suspect the output power section is dead. Time for the repair shop.

Keep blowing fuses after repair

Look for any solder or wires not where they are supposed to be, also took for arcing or other signs that a short has occurred.

Help Peavey PVi 4B

Check AC cable. Check fuses. If you are a techie, open it and check supply voltages and internal fuse. Check Regulator outputs.
Replace bad regulators or such...
If you are not a techie, take it to one who is.

Peavey PVi 4B - No sound

First, Power Supplies, regulators, condensers.
If not, and you get a POP, probably your Output Transistors (MOS ?) are pulled to one of the voltage rails. Change these.Check for shorts on them or blown ceramic resistors (square white thingies) close to them. Luck !

I got Nuttin'

The point of the fuse is that it blows before a surge can damage anything past it. If there's a component that could be damaged with a 3 amp surge for example, the 2.5 amp fuse would blow before the surge gets there but the 3.15 would let it through, and damage would be done.

Hi,

As a test procedure check for -15V at pin 4 of one Opamp, chip of 8-pin and +15V at pin 8, if you have those then it may be your output section, let me know further to help more.
