Question about Televison & Video
It is an electroview tv
If the remote can be opened (nothing to lose) look for tiny led's at sending end-----they have two pins soldered thru the board you will find inside---if broken loose they can be soldered back.
If circuit board there is cracked it is time for a new remote---some remotes have two of the led's but most only one.

It depends. If this is a remote for a satellite receiver, you may need to resynch the remote (see your manual - I know the Dish instructions).
If this is a TV only remote, you might try opening it and cleaning the contacts with an can of compressed air, electronic contact cleaner and a clean pencil eraser. However, recent remotes are like keyboards (membrane contacts) and this doesn't always work. In that case consider a universal remote to replace the bad one or look to see if remotes.com has a duplicate of your remote.
I hope this helps.
(for Dish, it is turn on the TV and the receiver, hit the Sys Info button on the receiver, then hit record on the remote. Then hit Select on the remote.)
