I need to turn off ScreenSaver on my Panasonic Viera TC32LX34 LCD TV

My keeps TV keeps going into Screensaver after 5 minutes when I have it in SD Card mode and viewing photos. How do I turn off the Screensaver so that the photo will remain active on the screen indefinitely. I'm trying to shoot videos with a slide in the backgroun on the TV. Thanks!

I called Panasonic customer support, and apparently the Screensaver is a 'feature' that only is applicable when the TV is in SD Card mode. It is not adjustable according to Panasonic, so if there is a way to disable it, it would likely need a hack instead of a simple settings adjustment.

SOURCE: LCD monitor is blank

Canon would have to fix this for you. The fault may be the screen itself, or the LCD viewfinder drive IC on the camera's circuit board. In this case they will replace the circuit board.

SOURCE: My Canon PowerShot A85 no longer shows scene on

I called Canon customer service. Problem is likely due to a defective CCD image sensor. The camera is well beyond warantee, but they will fix it free including shipping both ways. No proof of purchase needed.
I can't get the web site pasted in here, but here is a quote of how to contact Canon about this problem.

Canon already had much of my brand loyalty and this promise of a fix just doubled it!

"U.S. residents are kindly directed to contact the Canon Customer Support Center for further assistance at 1-800-828-4040. Support hours are Monday thru Friday - 8:00 AM to 12:00 midnight; and Saturday 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM (all times EST). Alternatively, if electronic support is preferred, please send your email to carecenter@cits.canon.com"

If you can get into the menu and find "reset" you could return the camera to factory settings.

SOURCE: Its a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. all

Hello

If you can view the pictures previously taken with the camera on the camera LCD, but the new photos just come out black, this is most probably a blown ccd.

This is a expensive component to replace, and you will also need specialized equipment to do this yourself.

I would suggest that you take your camera to your nearest repair shop and let them test the ccd.

Hope this can be of help.

Kind regards
Andrea

There is probably something stopping your system going to sleep. Do you have a cheap optical mouse that creeps across the screen when untouched or a dodgy wireless keyboard and mouse that continues to poll the USB port to keep itself and the PC awake?

When I go to my desktop after a minute or two the entire screen goes white, how do I fix it?

This sounds like a power save issue or a screen saver problem and they are both on the same panel I will lead you to

Right click on an EMPTY part of the desktop then click properties
Click the screensaver tab then the POWER settings.

Make sure all the boxes say NEVER then APPLY.

Its up to you if you want it to ask for a password when it comes off the screensaver (my pref is for no) then click apply then ok.

When you are back at the screensaver tab change both the screensaver to one of the other windows defaults and also check how long before it goes to screensaver and maybe up that to at least 15 minutes unless you have a plasma screen in which case no more than 5 minutes.

you may need to click apply again then OK

now sit back and wait. and whilst you do that check the manual and controls for the monitor in case it too has a built in saver and if so make any changes you need there.

My screen only displays after 4 /5 hrs

Try a different screensaver.

Also look in the display properties by simply right clicking the desktop and clicking properties.

Then locate power management.

the initial seems to be a bad screensaver judging by the 20 minutes, but the 4-5 hours seems to be a sleep mode that bypasses the screensaver issue.

Monitor picture turns on its side when it goes to screensaver

Sounds like your screensaver is using a picture of your desktop in it's code intentionally.

Right click on a blank area of your desktop --> select properties

--> click screensaver --> change it to "none" or another screensaver

Getting frequent black screens on 1501 Inspiron Laptop

Black screen is probably a screen saver or the screen is turned off by power management software.
Check your screensaver setting. Change the screensaver to None to disable screensaver.
I assume you are using Windows XP.
If the LCD is turned off by power management, on the same screen with screen saver, on the lower part of the box there is a Power button. Click to open Power Options Properties. Set your monitor power properties there.
When the screen go blank and you have to push power button, probably the computer is set to go to stand by mode after some idle minutes. You can also set it here in system standby setting.
