Question about Microsoft Computers & Internet
In my daily tracking excel template , i would like to add the column for percentage:
My Requirements is :
1) 1st Column in my template Total No test steps :
Ex: 700
2) Per day i have executed Ex: 200
Out of 700 steps i have executed 200 steps , so this 200 steps i have to show in Percentage in the template in separate column.
Please send me the formula to calculate the percentage in the excel
The formula is 200/700 equals the percentage;if you're in columns a, b, and c, the formula in c1 will look like:
=b1/a1.
Then you can format the cell to show the number (.2857) as a percentage (28.57%).

Calculate the amount if you know the total and percentage
For example, if you purchase a computer for $800 and there is an 8.9% sales
tax, how much do you have to pay for the sales tax? In this example, you want to
find 8.9% of 800.
Example
The example may be easier to understand if you copy it to a blank
worksheet.
