How do I fix my Corsair K60 keyboard?

I accidentally spilled some milk onto my desk. Most of which got on my mouse (which is working fine) but a few drops dribbled onto my keyboard. I immediately cleaned it up. I then noticed that my screen was spazzing out. Drop-down menus in windows were fluttering, I couldn't type anything, etc. I thought it was my mouse, originally, but eventually unplugged the keyboard and the problem stopped. I'm now using another keyboard and it is working fine. Is this possible to fix?

best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: scrambled keyboard

Have you tried cleaning and reseating the zif connector that connects the keyboard to the motherboard? Depending on how many cats and kids bang on the laptop, that can cause a problem. Another possibility is using an external keyboard and see if the same thing happens. If so, look to see if a keyboard program of some sort is running. If the external keyboard works fine, then you will need to replace the internal one, or just continue using the external one.

Seems like new batteries did the trick. Should start simple.

But I am not totally convinced. I will keep an eye on it.

SOURCE: Can't use dropdown menus anymore

NOTE: I have Vista Ultimate, so hopefully this works for those who have XP!

Okay i had this problem but I went to Dell and downloaded this driver

http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs&releaseid=R141725&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=189126.

Either click this link provided or copy into browser.

Download, install, and restart.

I hit the connect button on moth the USB and the mouse at the login screen, clicked the mouse button, and VIOLA, it worked!

Scrolling works, drop down menu's and the forward and back buttons on the mouse work as well!

Hope this helps to those who have experienced this little hiccup.

My keyboard does not work but mouse does

Have you recently had any accidental spills on the keyboard? If not, how old is it... it could just have deteriorated contacts due to age, or possibly a manufactuer defect?

If its within a year old, contact Toshiba and send it in... it should be covered under warranty, as long as it wasn't a consumer accident... such as dropping it or spills.

How to Fix Spilt Liquid on bda25ce.jpg?
You accidentally knocked fruit drink or a late night glass of milk on your laptop or your child spilled a good portion of milk directly into your keyboard. You hear a popping noise, the screen goes black. Water by itself is not as bad as milk or juice, both of which are corrosive/acidic, or coffee, tea, soda, etc.
First and most important -Calm Down and unplug the computer from its power source.
Disconnect it from the power cord and remove the battery. If needs, please remove the keyboard. The old adage - Water and Electricity don't mix - is quite true. For your laptop spilled water, let your laptop dry. Do not attempt to turn on the computer for at least 72 hours. Let it sit in a cool, dry place. If you disassembled the laptop, reassemble it after 72 hours have passed.

Well ..Spilling anything on a laptop or any computer component is always a no-no situation. I couldn't tell you what you may have "broke" but I highly doubt that it was just a "fuse"

Wirless Mouse and Keyboard possibly stopping screensaver?

Depending on the type of surface your wireless mouse is on, then it's a possibility. I find with mine, when I've got a movie up on my TV (From my computer) and my mouse is on the coffee table (which is very reflective) my mouse will stay on constantly. When I move it back to my desk it'll shut off after a few seconds of inactivity.

So if your desk is reflective, you can try putting it on something that isn't to see if it helps.
