    Hello,

Which water line are you trying to Replace?

If its the one going through the freezer door you may want to download the repair manual for your fridge. Some of the inner door liners are removable and some others are not. The ones without the removable door are much harder to remove, the repair manual should help you out with that.

    Thanks

SOURCE: changing the water filter in my Frigidaire

you need two things. the most important is a bigger tool. The filter is just too tight for loosening by hand. use a big pair of channel locks or a smal pipe wrench to turn the filter body to your left when facing it. you won't hurt it. counterclockwise to remove it, clockwise to install it back. put it back a hard hand tight and make sure it doesn't leak when you run water through it. you don't have to turn off the water, but run plenty of water through the new filter to get the air out.

the second thing is to curse it properly and sincerely while loosening the old filter. the harder you have to work to loosen it, the more specific and socially unacceptable the curse words have to be. white collar and office type workers frequently fail at this part because they aren't really cursing from the heart. you have to mean it.

Water dispenser on my 3 year old side by side FRIGIDAIRE PROFESSIONAL FPHS2386LFO is not working, It makes ICE but no water I can hear motor when I try to use dispenser

I appreciate your inquiry, bela_desousa!
From the information you have provided the water dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator is not dispensing. Have you recently changed your water filter? If you water filter has not been changed and is dirty or clogged it could lead to potential failure of your water dispenser. If the filter has been changed it could be a faulty dispenser. I would suggest consulting with a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Water dispenser does not work

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that the water dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator does not work. First, I suggest changing your water filter, making sure that the filter is flush with the filter housing. Secondly, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try to get water out of the dispenser. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your refrigerator status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is required, please leave me the model number of your refrigerator. Typically you can find this number inside the refrigerator on the right hand wall. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Frigidaire FRS6R5ESBS: I am having problems with

Good Afternoon Renee, thank you for your post! First, have you recently changed the water filter? Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency. With the new design of the water filter, incoming water pressure may be the problem. By leaving the water valve on while changing the water filter, it may not allow the filter to make a good connection.

When the filter is being put in initially, try turning off the water supply to the refrigerator, and then insert the water filter. Turn the water back on, and you should not have any issues.

Also keep in mind that a clogged water filter or a blocked supply water valve may also lead to low water flow. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer - but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!

We do hope this resolves your concerns. If I can be of further assistance, please feel free to reconnect.

Won't make ice

Have you changed your water filter lately. On many side by sides there are built in water filters that will slowly stop making ice and giving water because the filter is in need of changing...if this is not the problem write back and I will walk you through the other possibilities...

Changing the water filter in my Frigidaire

My Frigidaire PureSource water filter housing wouldn't unscrew either. Even with the supplied plastic "wrench" and later a cloth-covered pipe wrench, it wouldn't budge. Since both my icemaker and my door dispenser stopped dispensing water, and the filter housing in the fridge wouldn't budge, I suspected that the filter was full of frozen water. (Sometimes things on the top shelf of the fridge freeze, so it was obviously too cold.) I used a hair dryer on the water filter housing for a few minutes, and then the water filter unscrewed easily. Sure enough, the whole inside was a block of frozen water.

This would have been such a simple repair, HOWEVER unfortunately it turned out that I wrenched it too hard and broke the inlet valve on the housing. As soon as I thawed out the filter and reassembled, water was pouring out of the top. Took off the big cover at the top ceiling of the fridge and saw my problem.

It's only about a $25 part, but I'd advise that you be careful to only turn, without rocking back and forth, the housing when trying to unscrew. I guess I wiggled it back and forth too much and cracked it.
