2.Open the Profiles folder within your installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\iriverter\profiles or C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\iriverter).

4.Open the newly created e10.profile within WORDPAD NOT NOTEPAD.
5.Change the device from “u10′ to “e10′.
6.Change the dimensions from “320×240′ to “128×128′.

What you need is a free opensource program called

Use this to convert your movies.
I have the settings at home but I think they were these:
Video settings: frames per second (FPS) 24 or 25, 600 KPBS
format Xvid, container AVI,
Picture settings: 320 x 240 - check the cropper settings you want
In the audio use the Lame MP3 settings no more then 44100 hz (probably 33,000).
If this doesn't work post me a message and I will get you the correct settings.

I record movies on windows 7 media centre and can't play them on my iriver e100 player. I also can't watch mp4 format. What do I need?

Greetings - your IRiver E100 only plays certain .avi files and versions of Windows Media (.wmv) files.

To use your media center and MP4 files you would have to obtain converter software that would convert the files to be compatible with your player. Recording TV shows creates files which are incompatible with the E100 as are MP4 files.
For the TV recordings you would have to do as follows:

Forget the mention of IOS device above - you need to do the same step.

You then have to convert them to files that the player can use. I'm told this software works well and is only $9.95 (USD). Take a look HERE. (I have no connection with this company).

For other files (like MP4 files) you just have to use the converter software I mentioned above and don't need the first step I displayed above.

Enjoy your Video.

DR-1 MAC FINDER does not see it!

I had a similar problem. What i did was to replace the tascam provided cable with another one (similar) from Iriver t30. works wonders. found out that the original cable couldnt plugged in properly to tascam although it did recharge the unit.

Hope that helps.

Iriver h320 freak out!

I have the same problem and Iriver told me the hard drive is shot.

Unfortunately they will not / can not fix it as they have no "out of warranty repair," nor do they have anyone who will do this for them.

Iriver "USB Connected" screen problem

Before suicide, first consider your daughter ;)
Then make sure the USB ports and cables do not have a lot of dust in them.
Unplug and try it in a different port[also those in the back of your computer]
Make sure you have the driver installed.

Hope that helped, if not, reply with more details.
