How do u find the button to make sure the wireless is on

Hi there!
Depend on the brand of laptops, the position of wireless button is located in different places. Most of the cases, it stays in the front or in the left side of your laptop. It will have the sign or word written to let you know which way to turn on or off the wireless adapter. There is also a wireless light to confirm that the wireless is on or off. And the Fn + Fwireless to turn the wireless adapter on or off too.
So you have : when wireless button is set to Off, whatever you do on laptop still not make the wireless working.
If wireless button is set to On, you still need to press Fn+Fwireless to turn on the wireless.

I don't know you understand or not because it quite messy explaination. I don't know why all laptops have to have 2 places to turn on and off wireless adapter. One place is enough.
Hope this will help. Thanks for reading

Wireless capablity turned off in hp probook 4520s

You can use the wireless button or HP Connection Manager (select models only) to turn on and turn

off wireless devices.

NOTE: A computer may have a wireless button, a wireless switch, or a wireless key on the

keyboard. The term wireless button is used throughout this guide to refer to all types of wireless

controls. Refer to the Getting Started guide for information on identifying the location of the wireless

button on your computer.

To turn off wireless devices using HP Connection Manager:

? Right-click the HP Connection Manager icon in the notification area, at the far right of the

taskbar, and then click the power button next to the desired device.

- or -

Select Start > All Programs > HP > HP Connection Manager, and then click the power button
next to the desired device.

Hi there! I would like to know how to unlock internet button from my HP probook. Its button light is orange and I have no access to the internet. I'll glad you anything you can do for me! ...

Not knowing the model of your unit, I respond with a general answer:

Using the wireless controls

You can control the wireless devices in your computer using these features:

?? Wireless button

?? Wireless Assistant software (select models only)

?? HP Connection Manager software (select models only)

?? Operating system controls

Using the wireless button

The computer has a wireless button, one or more wireless devices, and two wireless lights. All of the

wireless devices on your computer are enabled at the factory, so the wireless light is on (blue) when

you turn on the computer.

The wireless light indicates the overall power state of your wireless devices, not the status of individual

devices. If the wireless light is blue, at least one wireless device is on. If the wireless light is amber, all

wireless devices are off.

Because the wireless devices are enabled at the factory, you can use the wireless button to turn on or

turn off the wireless devices simultaneously. Individual wireless devices can be controlled through
Wireless Assistant software (select models only) or through Computer Setup.

I had this problem too. You need the HP Wireless Assistant. Download it here- ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36501-37000/sp36770.exe

Once installed, open the HP Wireless Assistant and click Properties button. Check the box next to "Independent controls for installed wireless devices." Then click "Turn All On" button. On next boot it will be enabled!

How do i switch on my wireless built in connector

Hi

There is a wireless button to turn on and off the wireless on your laptop.
84bed3c.jpg

If this button does not work, make sure you have installed the wireless drivers to the computer and the related utilities like lauch manager.

You can get the wireless drivers and the utilities, I recommend you install all the utilities. From this acer page: http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_5720.html

By now you should be able to get the wireless to turn on, in vista to connect to a wireless network with wireless turned on:

PRESS START -> CONNECT TO ->

If you need further assistance, let me know.
Thanks,

My wireless system on my laptop is off how can I turn it on? No wireless found in range! Make sure your wireless switch is on how can I put the switch on?

Some laptops have a switch in front next to the wireless light or on the side.

Some laptops use an F key (my toshiba is F8) so to turn on the wireless I would have to turn the switch on in front and then "toggle" the Wireless on by pressing the FN and the F8 keys.
