It depends on the manufacturer of the specific unit you have, but most of the flouresant light ballasts are installed on the top of the unit either on the back of the top illuminated name panel, or on the actual top of the unit. I have seen some that had the ballasts installed at the rear of the unit and even down in the lower section where the compressor is located.
You'll need to look around as each manufacturer has different specs for their particular units and without the wiring diagram, it is difficult to provide an exact answer to your question. If you remove the cover plate to the bottom section or look on the back of the unit, you might find the wiring diagram that could include a schematic and a line drawing showing the placement of all major components. With a little effort on your part, you should be able to find it.

SOURCE: T-23 Refrigerator quit cooling.
Look in the back see if that compressor is running. It is balck kinda ball shaped. It pumps freon so to make the refrigerator cold. If it runs but do not get cold then it needs freon.
