HDMI port is failing

The HDMI port in the back is making no connection. I have to wiggle it sometimes to work. I would like to replace it but have no idea what to search for or if that lil port is available to purchase. Anyone have any ideas?

DON'T wiggle it anymore because the connection solder points are loose and you will eventually crack the connector or the PCB it's soldered to. If it is not to much hassle you can remove the TV/Case cover and hit the points with a soldering iron.

Hdmi2 is not working

The HDMI port has failed very common problem if another drops out soon you will no doubt need to replace the main board as usually they fail one after another if its a main board issue, If just the one fails then its most likely just the HDMI port itself which has failed and replacing just the port should repair the issue. You can get replacement HDMI ports and also complete main boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com

The hdmi port on my Panasonic CT-30WC14 only works when I push the cable into the port and hold it. It has a bad connection. I was going to take the back panel off and see if I could connect to the port...

Not the HDMI port,it the HDMI cable is dead.If u have dead HDMI port holding the HDMI cable wouldn't work, make no difference.Change the HDMI cable will solved ur problems.

We have a 47? LG Scarlet just over a tear old. In

Sorry to hear that. This indicates that the Input ports could be damaged. Pulling on the cords or having no 'strain relief' could cause this.
Check for any similar problems using the YUV or Video Inputs.

I cannot get the Input 3 HDMI port to work. The Input 3 Componet videoworks, but when I unplug the componet video and put in HDMI port nothing works. I do have something else in the HDMI Input 1 port...

Hi.

To start ensure that each time you connect or disconnect the HDMI ports both TV and connected device are off.

Also ensure that HDMI input is active, as detailed here.

HDMI connectors carry voltage, and connecting the HDMI cable while TV or device is on may easily damage the HDMI port, making it unusable.

The HDMI 3 and Component 3 are separate input. The component input may work, and HDMI port may still be defective.

To test the port do the following:

Disconnect TV power cord, and connected device (eg. Receiver, DVD etc.).
Leave units disconnected for five minutes.

While power is disconnected, test connecting on port three a device that was previously working on HDMI 1. Also use a cable that you know is working.

Connect back power with HDMI cable already connected. If HDMI 3 is still not detected, then the port is defective.

In that case ring Pioneer at the number listed on the owners manual. This model is often advertised as only two HDMI inputs. Call Pioneer to ensure the third port can be enabled.

Green screen and no sound when 2 hdmi ports are used on a OLEVIA 237T

The problem is caused by a poor HDMI connection. Either the HDMI cable is faulty or the ports are dirty. Clean the ports thoroughly with a soft-bristle brush and make sure it's dirt and dust free. Replace the HDMI cable if all else fail.

Do HDMI ports on the back of the tv go bad? if so, how do you fix them?

If you have more than one HDMI connection try the others first. If it is an intermittent connection try cleaning the connector out first with compressed air in the can and make sure it is dry before powering the set back up again. If the HDMI is not working and you have tried different HDMI sources the HDMI receiver board in the TV might be bad. The connectors usually don't fail unless there is allot of stress placed upon them by to short of a cable going to them.

So i have had a ps3 for about 2 years now and the hdmi chord worked fine for 1 year and then all of a sudden i started lossing signal from the tv. If i wiggle the hdmi chord the picture will sometimes come...

Hi friend, see since your regular (component/composite) chord worked well so the problem is with your HDMI chord. It is losing connection with some internal wire try to use another HDMI cable if it still not works so problem may be with your HDMI port.

Composite/component cable works fine but the cost of graphics..... but still HDMI graphics are just too good...

Hope it will work for you.
