NO red should be fixable but base decision on age of set and cost to repair---if loss of red (total) I would suspect main signal board that processes all information to the screen for the picture.

SOURCE: HDTV LCD 32 inch is all green. Good definition but

THe most likely cause for this problem is bad connection of the cable connecting the main TV board with the LCD controller. It's called LVDS cable and is hard to miss, usually fat round and black, connecting a board from the chasis with a little board in the top center of the LCD assembly.

I'd open the TV and gently try and reattach the cable to see if that yields any results. You can try it a few times, in fact I'd do it while the TV is open and working so I can better see if adjusting it makes a difference.

There's also a chance that the LCD logic itself got burned and misses on one of the colors. But I don't remember ever seeing that.

SOURCE: Toshiba Regza 42 in - have no blue or yellow

It sounds like you have a driver board problem. I suggest getting in touch with Toshiba and see if they will have it diagnosed/repaired under warranty. If not, they can give you the name and number of an authorized repair center who will know best how to diagnose and repair the problem with those units.

Had my tv for some time now without any problems.we purchased a new one and gve the toshiba 42inch rear projection to a friend, they had it a week and the screen went green, the sound is fine.we have thought...

If the screen is green then it is not the bulb. Most likely the color wheel is not turning. There is a rotating wheel that has Red, Green and Blue color segments. If the wheel is not moving then it will just show one color. This is something that can be fixed but requires a repair service center.

No Red color at all. The convergence feature does not work either. Lots of green and blue RCA Model D52W59

Red color gun has failed, which will make the picture over saturated with the other two colors(blue, green) the bad news is the three color guns need to be replace in a set(all at the same time) because if you only replace the red it will over saturate the older blue, green guns then your picture will be mostly red.Unfortunently in most cases it's not worth the investment, better off to purchase a new tv. Good luck !

Mitsubishi wd 52525 lost greens and blues. only colors on screen are red hues.

This the classic symptom for component input wires being crossed. Check color coding on tv input and signal sourse. Green,Blue and Red wires must correspond. If ok Is the color off on the tv menu also. If so and wires are ok replace light engine.

I purchased VMC-30FC AV cable to connect to my HD TV but I get pink picture on live camera and playback. Is this because my camer is not HD?

Please recheck pins that hooked at back of TV, check each video pins is fixed in its color jack like blue to blue, green to green and red to red. There are a pair of red-white pins, these will go to audio red-white jacks.

Wiring on a RCA RJ-45 wall jack

the RJ45 wallplate is not meant for ethernet. It's an 8P8C connector for a phone. Will it work as a network jack? Maybe. I wouldn't use it, but if you really want to try, wire it thusly:

1 Blue --- Orange/White
2 Orange --- Orange
3 Black --- Green/White
4 Red --- Blue
5 Green --- Blue/White
6 Yellow --- Green
7 Brown --- Brown/White
8 White --- Brown

I'd still recommend a CAT5 wallplate with a CAT5 jack.

Green & red tint

Most likely nothing you can do to fix this. CRT TVs use 3 colors to make an image on the screen (Red, Green, and Blue). If you're only seeing red and green then chances are the blue has stopped working. You can replace certain parts in the TV but for a 27" TV you'll probably end up paying more for the repair than a new TV.

I don't recommend taking the cover off and trying to fix TV yourself without training. CRTs have a lot of electricity stored in them (even after turned off) and you could accidentally electrocute yourself.
