Question about HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One InkJet Printer

I am having problems finding the color that needs replacing.

I took replaced one at a time. No good. I replaced all of them. No good

Please help

***At the printer***
• Check the ink cartridges. If any cartridges have run out of ink, replace them.
• Check the connection of the head flat cables on the main PCB. (If either of those cables is broken or damaged, replace it.)
• Replace the main PCB.
• Clean the head caps and wiper of the maintenance unit with a Rubycel stick. 
• Replace the maintenance unit.
• Check that the drain tubes are not bent.

    They have/had some together with drivers for them. The
    BJC7100 has large ink tanks and can take standard colour as well as
    photocolour inks (and black of course). You can use card as there is a
    straight-line path option (manual feed).



    Delete the current driver for the printer and reinstall the driver or go to the correct website for your printer and find the latest and greatest driver for your particular model and download it, sounds like something is corrupt... Hope this helps...

If you are using original cartridge this may be just a faulty printhead, in that case replace the printhead.

If even after replacing all the cartridges the printer still complains that a cartridge needs to be replaced try cleaning the contacts on the printer and on the cartridges. Also try unpluging the printer for a moment and try again, reconnect all the cartridges.

your printer may require service.

HOW DO I un-lock the scanner on a Brother MFC 7420?


Unfortunately, the MFC-7420 doesn't have a physical lock switch. You need to turn off the all-in-one and wait for the unit to clear its memory. If the error recurs after you press the power button again, wait 30 minutes and try again. (Note: you will lose any faxes that are in memory. See the User Guide page 11-5 to save this information.) You can find the manual on the Brother support page for the MFC-7420: https://www.brother-usa.com/support/ModelInfo.aspx?R3ModelID=MFC7420 . Click on the Manuals & Documents tab. Then click on the Manuals on our Online Solution Center for the English version of the manual. You can also try unplugging the all-in-one for several minutes to reset the error codes. If the error persists, contact Brother if the MFC-7420 is still under warranty (1 year). If it isn't under warranty, consider replacing the unit. The repair costs may be unreasonable.

The error code that you are experiencing is as follows;
F2 73 IMPROPER TONER CARTRIDGE DETECTION (YELLOW)
You need to replace the yellow cartridge with the proper part # Item Number: MX 31NTYA, MX31NTYA.

Is there an inexpensive manual avail for TDC Vivid Mainliner 300 slide proj.?


I see manuals on eBay for around $14 but nothing cheap or free. It's unfortunately one of those that is just rare enough that nobody wants to cut anything lose. Sorry... You might try a Google search if you are having a specific problem - sometimes you can find a support or community forum that has a thread about the issue.

Why is print quality poor after inserting new ink. Copies are faint and have lines


the cartridge is clogged with ink that has dried and reduced the slit. you need to replace the cartridge with a new one. it happens usually if you recharge the cartridge 3 or 4 times with compatible ink.

How does the bulb look? Is it bright or kind of dim. The bulb warming error is designed to halt use of the machine until the scanner bulb reaches the correct output level. As these are basically a flourescent tube, they will dim over time and at a certain point they will not generate enough light to enable proper scanning. If the bulb is dim, it will require replacement.
