a 6ya Repairman can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Repairman (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Suggestion: 1 Press and hold down 'spin' & 'dry' buttons to unlock controls. 2 Have u overloaded the machine with clothes? Reduce load. 3 Try 'spin' only after putting the clothes. Then put off machine & continue with main cycle. Three suggestions here........ What is the clothes capacity of the machine; try to limit within capacity. Try the "spin only" function aft putting the clothes. Then put the machine off & continue with the main cycle.

SOURCE: WASHER WON'T START
For some unknown reason(s) the Live Session/Chat window closed. I hope that the two buttons resolve the issue, otherwise, pls click on "Ask Me" for a follow-up solution.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Hi, Unplug the unit from AC power for 30 seconds to 1 minute, This should reset it back to the defaults. Good Luck!

I had this EXACT problem this morning and ended up calling the Sears Home Central Team out (I have an extended maintenance agreement). This is an error code that CAN BE RESET by the end user (you and me!) and doesn't need a repairmain. Here's what you do:
PRESS AND HOLD the START and CANCEL BUTTONS.
The four lights above the START button will begin to flash.
Continuing holding the START and CANCEL button and "spin" your wash selector knob to "SPIN".
Release the START and CANCEL buttons and Press the START button.
This will RESET the error codes within the system and allow you to "cancel out" of the DELAY START.
IF the error codes are "bad ones", then the system will stay locked and you'll need to call a repairman; however, this "fix" should work for MOST of the routine system error codes.
Worked on mine and we're a happy washing family once again!!

Tips for a great answer:
Good Afternoon Norma Eggenberg, thanks for your post!
I understand that you would like to turn off the delay start on your Frigidaire Affinity washer. Typically, to remove any type of feature you should be able to press the cancel button and it should revert back to the original settings. If this does not help correct the issue I would recommend resetting your washer. To perform a reset you would need to disconnect power by either unplugging the power cord or flipping the household circuit breaker off for ten minutes. I hope this is helpful. -Matt
