It all has to do will the quality and quantity of your rinse aid ?

You can manually adjust the rinse aid but don't use a cheap brand and continuously check your levels

If you have hard water you can check on water softeners that hook into your water system.

Is your water hot? Does the DW feel hot while it is working (this is one way to tell.)?

Is your dishwasher clean inside? Check carefully for any debris accumulation in the dishwasher.

What type of detergent do you use and what type of rinsing agent? Some water is just too hard or soft for dishwashers and you need the newer dishwasher tabs which have both and in the right amounts to achieve sparkling clean dishes.

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get their new product. It filters the water and takes out the hard minerals that cause spots and clog dishwashers. It is very affordable and has a money back guarantee.

Whirlpool dishwasher QUIET PARTNER II doesn't clean dishes, leaves film

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Concerning the Film.

This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there, Try Dishwasher Magic.

White calsification residue after washing

That could be caused by hard water or the dishwasher is not rinsing and what you are seeing is soap residue. Home depot does free water analysis, if your water hardness is greater than 7 grains of hardness then it is hard water. There will also be white coat around the heating element

There are no filters in the dishwasher. However, you may have filters under your sink or near your hot water tank for whole house filtering.

Water-pressure

If you have hard water buildup issues other places in the house, u will have them with the dishwasher also. There is not usually an intake filter but the intake line may be partially blocked. Turn off the water to the dishwasher and disconnect it so you can physically examing the pipe and the inside of the dishwasher intake connector.

If you live in a hard water area the 5 in 1 tablets will only work half way. Consider Calgon powder or the tablets which can be left in the dishwasher cutlery basket as an additional measure. Hard water areas are notorious for leaving chalky residue on cutlery regardless of 3 in 1/5 in 1 tablet promises.
Also your dishwasher will require rinse aid too as most machines need this to mix in with the general water and soap solutions when the dishwasher is on its final rinse.
