Yes - there's a "flick" switch on the back of the headset with a + and - indicator. Simply flick this upwards to increase the volume, or downwards to decrease the volume.

How come people can't hear me from my headset?

Volume only has to do with the sound level you hear.

The only thing that affects the sound the other ends hears is the microphone, Have you tried moving the mic? Has the headset ever worked properly?

If the other end hears you at all, then the headset SHOULD NOT be muted, but it's worth checking out. They put the mute switch on the underside of the boom mic and sometimes people hit the switch by mistake when moving the boom.

How do I turn off automatic streaming?

This is a suggestion. Go to settings on your phone, click on Bluetooth, if you're using the Legend at this time, click on legend. You should show two profiles, call audio and media audio, turn off media audio by removing the checkmark in the box. Hope this helps.

Sound level is inconsistant in headset. Unable to adjust volume with "rocker" buttons.

The Plantronics 510s system includes the 500A base and the Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset. Number "one" on the lower back of the 500A base is the loudest setting for your listening volume, I would also check to make sure that the compatibility setting on the left side of the 500A base is set to "one", so the number one should be lined up in the 3 o'clock position (which would also be lined up with the ridged area to the right). Number one compatibility setting is the most common setting for most phones. You can also try using the headset with a cell phone to see if the volume adjusts or not, if it still doesn't work properly, maybe the headset is just wearing out. No one can hear me. I have the major volume adjustment set to "D" and the minor volume adjustment turned up a few notches, but i'm told I sound like I'm in an ocean. The configuration...

By having your microphone set to level D, try setting it on A while talking to someone who can here you while you switch through. Most systems are set to B for standard use. On the back of the unit is an up or down microphone, that would allow your voice to be made higher or lower.

Wife complains of echoing when listening to me on headset. Love the headset cause I'm hearing impaired.

Plantronics Voyager 510 echoing:

If the Plantronics Voyager 510 headset is being used with the base on a regular telephone, you can adjust the microphone volume on the bottom of the base unit.

If the Voyager 510 headset is being used with just a cell phone... unfortunately there aren't many adjustments. You may want to un-pair and delete the headset from the cell phone totally, and then re-pair it to the phone just to make sure that it has a strong link or connection.

Also just as a side note about Bluetooth headsets and cell phones. Typically the simpler the cell phone, the better the Bluetooth connection and quality.

Good luck from Headsets Direct - 800-914-7996.

I lost my ear piece for my Plantronics Voyager 500A so I am trying to pair a new earpiece. How do I do this?

1. On the base, press and hold both speak volume fine adjust buttons until the blue talk/on line indicator light and red power indicator light (on the front of unit) start to flash.
2. On the headset, press and hold the listen volume adjust + button and call control button until the status indicator flashes red and blue.
3. Pairing is complete when the talk/on line indicator on base illuminates solidly, and the status indicator light on headset flashes blue.

Important: Make sure your headset is not connected to any other Bluetooth device when attempting to pair.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

I am getting no sound when making a call or answering a call and cannot put my phone on speaker phone either. My ring tones and alert tones work.

Make sure the incall volume is set to loud enough. You should be able to use the settings menu to adjust the in call volume. It may be under something like "Call settings"
