Presuming the ballast is bad it is only available as a complete unit---Google the model number with "ballast" to locate a part number and or the part.

My vizio 47 in. tv lost picture while i was watching news. I tried the flashlight test i was told about on here and can see the picture. how do i fix this problem?

I am pleased you found my flash light test useful. You have a ballast or back light problem. Probably just the ballast unit, so well worth repairing as the expensive bit is OK.
Check the ballast unit before seeking lamps.

My 50in LCD has had a green tint to it for several months, was told by Best Buy that it was likely that a mirror got misaligned when we moved. Friend had the exact same tv...thought that the bulb went...

Good luck with that.... But if you really want to try,... look at where the bulb makes electrical connection when it is plugged into the set. You should see two thick wires leaving a connector and going to a circuit board. this board is the ballast. You'll have to disassemble until you can get the board along with the wires and connector.

Insignia IS-LCDTV32 LCD TV with no image and buzzing sound.

Before you throw it in the trash, check the supply voltage to the panel ballast. You should see 24v coming off the power board... this is what you want to check. Second, check to see is the ballast is being given an "ON" signal.. you will find this signal on the same connector or one of the others going to the ballast (some models have 2 connectors from power supply to ballast. The "ON" signal will come on shortly after you press the power button. If you have both, you either have a bad ballast or a bad lamp inside the panel assembly. The lamp.. no fix, junk the TV; the ballast.. you could search high and low for one or try to fix it yourself; no 24v, check with MCM Electronics for a power supply; no, "ON" signal, your main PCB is suspect. I hope this was helpful, best wishes.

Mitsubishi 52525 TV Red Lamp LED

340v should be on power pwb plug PL on the 1 and
5 (GND) pins for the ballast. and the ballast plug CN should also have the 340V with pin 1 of that plug being GND nd pin 3 should have the 340V If the PL plug on the power board is low the power pwb has a problem most likely the doubler circuit. If CN plug voltage is high say 360V the ballast is suspect.
