What kind of tv is it, 3D, plasma, LCD and I hate to tell you but your going to have to open it up and reset the the grommet. you should have ten or so screws to remove, make sure you lay it on a nice thick blanket to work on it and remove the screws. Than it's just a matter of slowly working it out and resetting it.

Veritcal yellow line on 50" sceptre tv

The edge ribbon connector may not be connecting (on the inside of the tv). Cure is foam strips between screen edge connecters and inside cover. Or, Memory chip (used to make the picture appear), may be bad. All flat panel tv's use a memory chip to make picture appear (it is digital after all). And if memory chips are bad, picture will have lines, jags etc. But it sounds like you have edge connecter problems. Place foam between inside cover and screen. TV may have been thrown around in shipment, and edge connecters came undone. They're very lightly soldered on some sets.

I too have this cooker and the rise part never rises, I find that I have to hold the handles in such a way as to help it reach pressure and then the little pin rises. You have to have the cooker gauge pointing to the left.

Digital channels have stopped working, only blue screen!

Try resetting the TV:

  1. Switch on TV and switch to any analogue channel.
  2. On the TV: Press and hold the MENU button.
  3. Menu screen will appear on the display.
  4. Do not release the MENU until the menu screen disappears.
  5. TV will go blank for about 60 seconds and then display initial set up screen.
  6. Follow the on-screen prompts to re-tune the TV.
If this does not work then the problem is likely to be a loose ribbon cable or main small signals board inside the TV.

How do you disassemble Rainbow D4c to replace power cord? Took four screws loose but unable to see how to get housing loose...

Gently pull on the rubber gasket that seals the water tank to the canister. Although there are more screws under there - they aren't necessary to remove only to replace your cord. It is the gasket that is holding the motor flange and the plastic housing together that hinders your progress. If you're gentle about pulling off the gasket and it's in good enough shape, you can usually put it back on with some rubber cement (the same thing it is originally attached with) when you're finished. If the gasket breaks, it would have to be replaced - but not a big deal - they aren't really very expensive.

Shadow on Flat Screen TV

Projection TV correct? This may take some work but it is common for a spec of dust to settle onto the Mirror inside the TV, The back side of the TV screen or onto the Lens from which the Video image is projected. Some TVs have ports that allow you to access the inside of the TV from the side, others you must remove the screen.

This is not something to do every day or every week and it will not improve the picture. You only do this when you notice that it is dirty. Any more than that and you yourself will create a bigger problem. ONLY LIGHTLY DUST the screen. Soaps, water and windex will leave streaks, damage the screen and cause more trouble.

Projection TVs are the eqivalent of a big flashlight showing onto a wall. Put you hand in front of the light and you get a shadow.

Inside you TV there is a light (the TV picture) that bonces of a mirror attached to the inside of the back of the TV. The light reflects off the mirror onto the back of the screen. You view this refelected image from the front. Spiders commonly make webs inside the TV that appear in the picture. Dust Bunnies may get blown into an area and become stuck in the way. Sometimes a lite tap, shake or blow may remove this also.

The crt circuit of the unit might be loose or the the parts inside the board is loose. Have it hecked by a technician first. Minor parts inside might caused the problem.

LINE ACROSS TOP OF SCREEN-LOOKS LIKE A GASKET

I have the same problem with the gasket dropping from the top of the screen. I took the back casing off (approximately 16 screws) don't forget to take off the adaptor box with two screws. and the additional 8 screws located at the bottom of the panel casing. After that the back panel will come off. Remove the tv screen from the front casing, approximately eight screws. Be careful not to dislodge any wires while remove the screen. Finally remove the gasket. All of this can be done at any local tv repair shop for about $150 dollars.
