Question about Whirlpool LGR7646E Dryer
Model lg5796xpw0 - 14 + yrs old; Noticed last week that the timer didn't shut off and dryer ran for over 2 hours during one cycle. Now, igniter glows but there is no flame on any cycle. Dryer otherwise runs.
Thermostat and fuse seem to be okay; checked circuit breakers were not tripped. Could this be caused by a faulty timer or is it an igniter burner assembly problem.
Ended up replacing the solenoids and the burner ignited, flame stayed on. Problem appears to be solved. Thanks for your help and posting.
