Hello the homepage is here:

http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/PD/955/PDSG4.cfm

Check for one of the modules is in place in the ram socket
and blow it out for dust with compressed air.
One of the modules could also have a defect.

The mainboard supports:
Up to 8GB dual channel unbuffered
ECC/non-ECC DDR2 667/533/400 MHz

Try also to upgrade the mainboard drivers with this tool:

http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect?iid=dc_iduu

Good luck

Hi

Well about guaranteed your 2 gigs ram is probably DDR II ram which has maximum of four gigs with 64 bit processing and 2 with 32 bit is. So motherboard needs upgrade. 35.00 for good giabit or board with 1000 megs a sec ethernet lan. With ddrIII ram. And upgrade operating system I believe win 8 has max 16 gig ram win 7 uses 8 gis vista and longhorn 64 use 4 and xp normal edition 32 bit uses 2 max. So you about have to run win 7 or 8. Win 7 will become direct x incomparable at some point making us change to win 8. Win8 cost like 300 to 350 and tiger direct.com has good deal of the win 7 pro media center for 75 bucks. So spend 150 on good speed 8 gig ram, 125 bucks for 12 core and at 4 GHz I think. And a board for 35. Reuse all other componets. And you\'ll have a 2500 dollar computer and best on the block. hi

not every motherboard or on board video is compatible with windows 8

what windows was it running previously

windows 8 was designed for 64 bit platforms which requires 4 gig of ram but you have to also take into account the other hardware components and there maximum configuration

i have run win 8 on 2 gig of ram but it struggles with you tube downloads

i upgraded the ram to 4 gig and run win xp win 7 and win 8.1 on the hard drive

cheers

Dear Sir I am installaing WIn Xp Professional 64 bit on Intel motherbaord DH 61 WW with 8 GB corsair ram and after the boot hardaware error occurs and its ask to check the hardware or viruses...

The motherboard has nothing to do with your problem. Its your processor it has to be a 64 bit processor. If you don't during the installation you will get an hardware error. Your windows 7 must of been a 32bit or aka 86x platform. So put windows 7 back on (recommended) or try windows xp pro 32bit

Create a card 3 will not install in new computer with 64 bit windows 7 Please help i have your newer versions and this is my favorite

I have Createacard 3 installed an running on Win 7 64 bit - however - you have to install XP Mode first which is free from Microsoft if you have Win 7 Professional or Ultimate (not Home). I now have an icon on my desktop that I double click and Createacard 3 loads and works fine.

I want to change the operating system wimdows vista to windows 07 from K.ganesh kumar 09441089186

You have 2 options (purchase)
1. upgrade the win vista to win 7 - you need to check the type of win vista that you have if it is 32 or 64 bit or HOME BASIC HOME PREMIUM PROFESSIONAL ULTIMATE
home basic is not win 7 upgrade supported.

2. Win 7 OS full version disk.

Back up all of your files before doing anything on your computer.
