How to pull codes for ac system on a cadY 97 98 sts northstar or a ac controll head calibration

well rightthere are no codes Perse to be pulled like engine control codes you have to enter the PCM into diagnostic mode and then select proper system then enter 3 to 4 digit codes to begin tests on the system of the specific subsystem the results of the tests will then let you know what you need to replace or repair I know you're going to ask but how to enter the diagnostic mode you hold down the cold and off I believe on the control the cold or hot I do not recommend you enter or starting the testing without knowing what you're doing that being said I'm not really sure what the numerical codes are for the test you need to run
for the problems you are having but I will look them up and give them to u if you really want to try it you could very easily end up worse off than you are now. but what do I know I'm only an

99 cadillac seville continues to overheat even though i put a new water pump

maybe the water pump wasnt the problem to begin with. if the engine temperature only goes up when you stop the car then most likely it is the FANS that are not engaging to cool the radiator which is a problem with the fan sensor, computer that controls the fans, relay/fuse. I had the same problem on my 1999 cady STS coming back from my vacation. the engine temperature would be normal only when I drove the car above 70km/hr because the air passing through the front of the car would cool the radiator. when I slowed down the fans wouldnt start and no air was passing through to cool the rad, hence the engine temperature would start to go to HOT. good luck.
