Question about LG Vu CU920 Cellular Phone
MY VU SHUTS DOWN ON IT IT'S OWN AND I HAVE TO PULL THE BATTERY AND REINSTALL BEFORE THE PHONE WILL COME BACK ON, ALSO THE BATTREY DRAINS IN ABOUT 8HRS, I DO NOT USE THE PHONE MUCH AND THIS IS ABOUT 3 WEEKS OLD AND HAS BEEN REPLACED 2 TIMES ALLREADY THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME. WE BUOGHT 4 PHONES AT THE SAME TIME AND THIS WILL BE THE 6 TIME TO TAKE BACK ON ONE OR THE OTHER FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. WHAT IS GOING ON? THANKS
Well ... took out the SD card and the phone stayed on until the battery discharged. In the meantime I found this Forum, which gave me some additional hope!
So I went out today to Costco and bought a 2-pack of Sandisk 2 GB micro SD w/ adapter for $14.95! (sale w/coupon) Thought I'd give it a try!

Do not use anything but the standard wallpapers that come with the phone, and the phone will work fine. The issue has something to do with the fact that if you install or take a picture with the phone, and actual picture file is stored on the memory card, when the screen blacnks out to go into standby mode, it will not wake up out of standby mode as long as that picture is set as the wallpaper.
LG needs to address this with the internal software and offer a software download to users to hotfix this problem.

Take the memory card out if installed. Supposedly this is a known issue that is causing the LG CU920 to shut down. That is what was explained to me by a sales guy at Best Buy. I replaced my phone once before getting that bit of info and have not had a problem since. Unless you count not being able to use a expanded memory card.

My LG Vu would shutdown about once a week. I checked AT&T's forums and found a solution. Replace your SD card with a 4GB or less San Disk card. I replaced my old Microcenter 4GB card with a 4GB San Disk card and it's been over a week and no shutdowns. The San Disk card has also improved my battery life.
