Same Here.....Help!! Have you ever tried to deal with Wirefly.... Keep the Customer service in the US PLEASE. I end up wanting to call the "Suicide Hotline" after talking to Wirefly. Anyone with some wisdom out there. Oh...it appears to shut down randomly when I try to have the 4 gig SD card in. When there is no card installed, I don't believe this happens.

My first 920 lasted 3 weeks before I had this same problem. Went back to Costco and they gave me a new phone. My current one, about 4 mo. old just started shutting down the same way .. Costco sent me to the AT&T store, who said they "never heard of this problem" (lol) and said I have to call LG as I did not purchase their insurance and they do not handle mfg's warranty. Now isn't that nice!
KD12825, Thanks for the solution, but what is the mem. card solution then? Mine worked for 4 mo., why should that change?? Appreciate the help!!!

I have the exact prob. the screen freezes up and i had to return it for another phone 2 times and I also bought two. What is going on. It is fustrating because I have to keep removing the battery as to "ctrl, alt, delete" so as to keep reseting the thing. Is this something that should be recalled??

Guess what- i have the same problem and replacing my card won't work because i already have the 4gb sanDisk card and that's the card that was in there when the problem started. Also when i try to get into the camera i just get the loading screen and i've looked at that loading screen for two hours while my freinds loaded in seconds.

Well, there's two solutions that point to the micro sd card! I tried the LG support # today and spoke to Customer Service. All they could offer was for me to send the phone in for "inspection", a 2+ week process. They had no response when I asked if I could talk to Tech Support. (I guess that is not offered) Their website is worthless also, IMHO. Tobov 119, I do have pictures stored, some in the phones memory, but no wallpaper. So your solution does not fit my situation. I'll take the SD card out tho, and see what happens! Thanks for the info!

Well ... took out the SD card and the phone stayed on until the battery discharged. In the meantime I found this Forum, which gave me some additional hope!

So I went out today to Costco and bought a 2-pack of Sandisk 2 GB micro SD w/ adapter for $14.95! (sale w/coupon) Thought I'd give it a try!

Well, it appears the Sandisk micro SD was indeed the solution! I copied the entire contents of the old SD to the new Sandisk, and the phone is normal for two days now! Whew!!!

Do not use anything but the standard wallpapers that come with the phone, and the phone will work fine. The issue has something to do with the fact that if you install or take a picture with the phone, and actual picture file is stored on the memory card, when the screen blacnks out to go into standby mode, it will not wake up out of standby mode as long as that picture is set as the wallpaper.

LG needs to address this with the internal software and offer a software download to users to hotfix this problem.

Take the memory card out if installed. Supposedly this is a known issue that is causing the LG CU920 to shut down. That is what was explained to me by a sales guy at Best Buy. I replaced my phone once before getting that bit of info and have not had a problem since. Unless you count not being able to use a expanded memory card.

My LG Vu would shutdown about once a week. I checked AT&T's forums and found a solution. Replace your SD card with a 4GB or less San Disk card. I replaced my old Microcenter 4GB card with a 4GB San Disk card and it's been over a week and no shutdowns. The San Disk card has also improved my battery life.

My battery life is great as long as i dont text or call anyone. My phone can retain power if it is not in use. Everytime i attempt to make a three minute call my phone shuts down after a certain amount of...

Hello, why the phone is still shutting down is because the cell of the battery is weak and can power on the phone for to long, that's why it shots down so quick,

You will need to replace battery with a new one for longer talk hours.

Make sure you charge battery for 6hours before use.

Take care.

Phone shuts off

if you droped the Vu than you could have damaged the insides and that might cause the repeating of it shuting off but a easyer way to get music onto your Vu is to get a Micro SD and get an adaptor for it and put music on that and then plug the SD into your phone its alot easyer and faster than useing the cord

hope this helps

Phone shuts off

you might have damaged files on your sd and that is probably causeing the malfunction in which your phone shuts off so if you download from a new site you should be good or get a new sd it might be faulty
