SOURCE: Windows XP Service Pack 2 shows asms missing

My understanding of this problem is as follows: When you put the Windows XP CD into the drive and switch on the computer Windows starts from the CD. In order to access the CD it uses the BIOS. However, at a certain point it decides to use its own drivers instead of using the BIOS. Oops! it doesn't have the right driver because your CD drive is too new, so it can't read the CD, and thus can't continue the install. The solution then is to copy all the necessary files onto a place where Windows can read the files. Solution 1 Do you have another computer? Take the hard drive out of the machine you are installing and put it into the second machine as a secondary hard drive. Switch on the second machine and copy the i386 directory and all its files and subdirectories from the Windows install CD on to the secondary hard drive. Remove the hard drive and put it back into the machine you are installing and switch it on. When Windows then asks for the missing file you can direct it to the I386 directory on the hard drive. This should be C:\I386. It will ask for the location of about 10 files. Give the same answer each time. Solution 2 You will need a bootable CD such as Hiren's boot CD, and a second CD drive. Put Hiren's into the primary CD drive. Put the Windows CD into the second CD drive. Switch on, and choose the mini XP Copy the I386 directory and all its sub-directories onto the hard drive. Again, when Windows asks for the location of the files direct it to the appropriate directory on the hard drive.

How do i root my samsung sch-s736c by android

If you are lucky enough to have not updated and are still on the VRUAMDK Build number then here is the root method (source & credit given to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798):
STEP 1: Go to the source link above and download the five items in the first step, Samsung Official USB Drivers, ODIN v3.07, VRUAMD2 Prerelease Kernel, Stock VRUAMDK Kernel for your phone, and Motochopper Root Exploit Tool.
STEP 2: Boot your phone into ODIN mode.
STEP 3: Flash the VRUAMD2 Prerelease Kernel using ODIN v3.07 in PDA section only. Boot back into Android and verify that the flash was successful.
STEP 4: Follow Settings -> More -> About phone -> tap "Build number" 7 to unlock Developer options and verify in there that you have "USB debugging" checked and "Verify apps via USB" unchecked. Verify in Security setting on your device that you have "Unknown sources" checked and "Verify apps" unchecked
STEP 5: Connect your phone to your computer and open "Run.bat" file from the location you have extracted motochopper to. You will see a message on the phone asking you to accept the new computer connection (select to always allow and select OK).
STEP 6: After motochopper runs and your phone reboots on its own, check if SuperSU has any update in the Play Store. Open SuperSU app and let the binary update itself to the latest VERY IMPORTANT OR YOU WILL LOSE ROOT ON STEP 4. Now you can open a root application and verify that is able to access root properly.
STEP 7: Now to restore the stock kernel you need to boot your phone into ODIN mode (how-to link above).
STEP 8: Flash the Stock VRUAMDK Kernel using ODIN v3.07 in PDA section only (follow same link in step 3 for a how-to).
STEP 9: Boot back to Android and verifying everything is still working and kernel has flashed successfully. You should now be fully rooted and on the fully stock original firmware that came on your device.
To restore a custom recovery (optional), follow Step 5 on the source link.

Where download drivers for newsmy m50 for windows xp

Being an android PMP device it should not need any drivers for Windows XP, Vista or 7. Simply plug it in via the USB cable and your device will show up as a drive letter in My Computer.
If that is not happening, I would check the Device Manager (Start - Run - "compmgmt.msc" and press enter - then click on Device Manager on the left hierarchy) to see if it is showing up under Disk Drives on the right. If it is not, it should be showing up under Other Devices, which you can right-click on and tell it to "Update Driver Software" and check online for drivers. If it's not showing up at all, check your USB cable.
Hope this helps!

Hello, my wireless is not showing on my computer and when i go on device manager on my computer it has a question mark on ethernet controller and say erro code 28, how can i fix this?

Do your Wireless Device (PCI or USB unit) comes with an installation CD? If so, use the CD to install the software/drivers.(Instead of using the Windows wizard). Remove any previous installation before reinstalling with the CD.

Resit your device to a different USB port or PCI slot. If the drivers/software are properly installed, windows will detect and installed the device correctly.

Cause of the Code 28 Error (In general)
A Code 28 error is caused by a missing driver for that particular piece of hardware. There are several of reasons that a driver might not be installed for a device but your troubleshooting of the problem will be the same no matter the root cause.

Resolution
1.Restart your computer if you haven't done so already.

There is always the slim chance that the Code 28 error you're seeing in Device Manager was caused by a fluke with Device Manager or in your BIOS. If that's the case, a reboot might fix the Code 28.

2.Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before you noticed the Code 28? If so, it's very possible that the change you made caused the Code 28 error.

Undo the change, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 28 error.

Depending on the changes you made, some solutions might include:
•Remove or reconfigure the newly installed device.
•Roll back the driver to the version prior to your update.
•Use System Restore to undo recent Device Manager changes.

3.Update the drivers for the device. Installing the latest manufacturer supplied drivers for a device with the Code 28 error is the most likely solution to the problem.

Important: Make sure you install the drivers for the correct operating system. Example, if you're using Windows 7 32-bit, install the drivers designed for that specific version of Windows. Most Code 28 errors are caused by updating or install the wrong drivers for a device.

4.Update your OS to latest Windows service pack. Microsoft regularly releases service packs and other patches for their operating systems, one of which may contain a fix for the cause of the Code 28 error.

**Note: Certain service packs for Windows Vista and Windows 2000 have contained specific fixes for some instances of the Code 28 error in Device Manager.

5.Replace the hardware. As a last resort, you may need to replace the hardware that has the Code 28 error.

It's also possible that the device is not compatible with this version of Windows. You can check the Windows HCL to be sure.

Note: If you still think there is still a software/operating system component to this Code 28 error, you could try a repair install of Windows. If that doesn't work, try a clean install of Windows. Not recommend doing either of those more drastic options before you try replacing the hardware, but you may have to if you're out of other options.

Hope it helps.
