SOURCE: Flashed the bios with wrong version PC is unusable

When you flashed the bios, it should have asked you if you wanted to back-up the original bios file. Hopefully you did. If the system wont boot from a floppy so you can reverse the flash, then your only options are a new mobo or contact the board manufacturer for a new bios. The bios plugs in and is replaceable. Sometimes though it cost as much for the bios as it would for a new mobo.

SOURCE: overclocking failed

Hi, If you have overclocked: 1. CPU or motherboard not up to it - run at default speed; or 2. Memory - try using other memory; or 3. Video Card - see if you can run the Video card at default speed and not with overclock speed; or 4. You may need to up the CPU B+ a bit. If not overclocked: a. Set BIOS/CMOS to default settings; or b. Disable any overclocking feature (even if not used); or c. Lower you CAS latency. Hope this be of some help/idea. ood luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: System fail due to cpu overclocking, voice message

Disconnect the power cable, press and hold the power button. Open the case, remove the cmos battery and short the cmos battery connectors (just touch both the metal tabs center and edge at the same time) with a screwdriver. Replace cmos battery, reconnect the power and power on. This should reset the BIOS to default settings.

SOURCE: system failed due to cpu overclocking. Not setup

Reboot, and enter BIOS SETUP mode.
Choose "Load Default Settings".
This will "undo" any overclocking of your motherboard and of your CPU.

Unlock bios

No such thing. If you want to unlock your BIOS so you can overclock the computer, the CPU must be overclockable from the factory. If the CPU is locked you can't do it.

Beep Codes?

Hi,

This board has been known to have some issues, the Asus' PEG optimizations aren't fully supported by some video cards like the Gigabyte GeForce 6600 GT. One example of a fully supporting video card is the Asus Extreme Radeon EAX1900XTX.

If possible, try using a different video card (one that supports
Asus' PEG optimizations - PEG Link Mode overclocking feature; PEG Link for single/dual graphics cards ). Or you may want to try and disable the PEG entirely.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn up or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.

How to fix error oxa00001?

I would look for a BIOS update for your actual graphics card. The bugcheck is not called by windows but by the graphics driver when It detects a problem.
(power issue, memory corruption in the GPU, overheating) It only seems to happen on over clocked AMD graphics card. You might also want to make sure
that you are not overclocking the PCI bus in the ASUS BIOS. (overclocked PCI bus and overclocked GPU can cause issues)

Im trying to decide what video card to get with this mother im a huge gamer and i play all games from CoD4 to wow. also does this board already come factory overclocked? how do i configure overclocking ?

motherboards do not come overclocked, unless you bought it from a person that has already done that. For overclocking, you go into the BIOS but make sure you have adequate cooling in your machine. When you overclock you want the CPU cooler fan to blow away from the CPU instead of onto it. Also you want more fans blowing out the rear of the case if you have one intake fan in the front, two in the rear/side panel. Overclocking causes more heat, and shortens CPU lifetime. I believe you press F2 at boot to get into BIOS on your motherboard. in the BIOS settings you can change the multiplier, but if it doesn't add up correctly, your computer will just hang instead of boot and try a different setting. Although this mobo supports Hyper-Threading and supports Untied Overclocking Technology, so it should be simpler to overclock rather than some mobos are tricky to get it going right.

As for the graphics card with this board: it's an Intel processor so you need a graphics card made by ATI. I would recommend a Radeon graphics card with this motherboard. The motherboard is compatible with Front Side Bus 1600/1333MHz CPUs, so make sure your Graphics card you select doesn't have a FSB faster than that, otherwise you will be wasting money.

Overclocking locked on 945gct-m2 mobo

There is no overclocking settings for this motherboard, the CPU speeds and core settings are automatically determined. You may be able to find a modified bios somewhere, but i would strongly suggest this not be done. A bad bios, or bad flash can essentially turn the motherboard into an expensive paperweight.
