The screen has failed or the driver circuit for the screen display. I recommend that find a used replacement on eBay, it is the best source for cell phones.

SOURCE: hi there,

There is nothing you can do to make the screen work with your phone. The screen is not the correct one that's why it is nit working.

There is not reset or trick whatsoever that can be done to make the screen work with the phone.

You just have to get the LCD screen with the yellow flex because that's the correct flex for the phone.

I hope this is clear.

Good luck.

Picture only works on tv

this problem is common in phones with dual slide feature such as the nokia N95 8Gb.

your best chances are to replace the lcd screen and also the flex cable.

original lcd screen is over $200 at nokia care centre, $150 at a mobile phone store.

im not sure about the flex cable but you can get one for $80 on ebay and install it yourself.
its pretty simple provided you have the tools to do so.

Help please,.

Yup, if touching the flex cable caused this issue, then you can be sure either the cable or the display circuitry needs to be replaced. It is cheaper to try to replace the cable first. If the issue still occers, then better buy a new phone, cuz the cost of replacing the display circuit is not worth repairing.

LCD Screen

Thats actually a tougher repair - you need to open the phone near the swivel and MAKE SURE YOU DON'T TEAR THE FLEX CABLE!
Once that's removed, unclip the flex, dismantel the brace, then replace old lcd with new one, reconnect flex, and when closing the phone BE CAREFUL of the flex near the swivel.

If you have the parts - we at can do it for you for $15 + shipping
