Sometimes the air regulator will limit the air volume and pressure when drawing a large quantity of air out of the tank. The regulator was most likely designed for nailing which has very little demand. For filling auto tires you may have to bypass the regulator. If your compressor has a safety valve, with 1/4 male pipe threads, remove the safety valve and install a nipple and tee fitting (let out all the air from the tank before removing the safety valve by pulling on the ring). Reinstall safety valve on one port and a quick connect on the other. Now you will have access to full tank pressure without the restriction of the regulator when needed. Good luck

When a tap is turned on the pump keeps clicking on and off instedy of steady

It sounds like your water holding tank needs air. You could just add some air and see if that helps. The proper way is to shut the power off going to the pump. Next open up a spigot until there is no water coming out. Then close the spigot. Now check the air pressure in the tank. Water tanks come with a tire valve installed, so all you need is a tire pressure gauge. There should be a label on the tank that will tell you how much the air pressure should be. As I recall, it should be around 38 lbs. But, that would depend on the pressure switch that is installed on your pump. A common one used is 40/60. To add air use an air compressor with a tire chuck. You could also use a bicycle pump. When the tank is at the correct pressure turn the power, going to the pump, back on. That's it. Additional info: Your tank should have an air valve located somewhere on the tank, usually on top. You add air the same way you add air to a tire. Through the air valve. If there is no valve, consider replacing the tank with a tank that does have a valve.

I have a 2006 toyota sienna. Awd. Can I just add air to my tires? Or do I need to take it to a tire shop?

Yes, u definitely can add air to ur tires at any Walmart gas station, 7-11 gas station. And mor gas stations should have the air pump. If u don't know how to though, try to pump the tires so they don't look anything like flat. If u can't tell any difference between flat, and full, there's an image below. Whenever u press the throttle( the thing at the lady's pointing finger), it pumps the air. Some gas stations might have free air pumps, but almost all of them u gotta pay like a dollar or something. When pumping air, I wouldn't go more than 4 on a car like that. How to tell if u have 4 units( I'm not sure what the official name of those units is) or less, is when u let go of the throttle( and press the long end to the valve on the tire with ur other hand) there's gonna pop out a small thing out of the short end. It's gonna have numbers from 1 and up. U want ur number to be at 3, maybe 3.5, but 4 is the max I would go on a car like that. If it still doesn't make sense on how to use it, I think the gas station staff should have no problem showing u how to use it

Pressure switch cycles on off

Check your pressure tank, sounds like bladder has a leak. Unscrew cap on valve on pressure tank (looks like valve on car tire where you add air to tire) turn cap upside down and use, or small screwdriver to depress valve, if water comes out bladder has burst and replace pressure tank. If not then check bladder pressure with tire gauge. Correct settings are clearly posted on pump. Then add air to pressure tank or remove air to correct pressure. Use a accurate pressure gauge.

How to use a Schwinn Aluminum Frame Pump to pump up a bike tire??? I have it on the tire but the air comes out of the top piece instead of the part hooked to the tire!

THE TRICK TO SWITCHING OVER THE OUTLET FOR THE PUMPED AIR IS BACK PRESSURE. IF WHAT YOU ARE FILLING IS COMPLETELY FLAT, BLOW INTO THE FITTING YOU WANT TO USE AND IT WILL SWITCH OVER.

I just tried filling up the tires on my schwinn cf 1000 but all they air drained out and the air pump isn't working correctly. how do i get air in the tires!!!! THANKS

This sounds like what happened to me with my bike a couple weeks ago. Sometimes the tube gets shifted inside the tire and keeps air from flowing in. I had to take my bike to the shop so they could shift it back into place and also replace the air valve. If you have the right tools and expertise this can be done at home, but since I have neither I could not. :)

When I first start the car an orange horse shoe shaped light with an exclamation mark in the middle of it comes on - then it goes off after I drive it a couple of miles.

This is the warning light indicating tire pressure needs adjusting -- usually means tires are low on air, unless the tires have recently been "pumped up" and the air pressure is too high.

How do a fix a flat tire on my weedeater riding mower? 13hp 38 series

I suggest a trip to the auto parts store. Buy a tubless tire repair kit. Ask the sales person how to do the job (it is easy). Repair the tire on the rim and try to do it without the bead coming off the rim. Next, take an air pump and pump it up! If the tire has a tube, you must take the tire off the rim and repair the tube...Good luck...Lee

My 2002 audi a4 1.8t...somewhere in the vicinity of the passengers rear tire,i hear an air leak.its not the tire.i try to listen where its coming from exactly but can figure it out.its near the fuel filter...

I think you are hearing your fuel-pump. Try a few different things, with someone close to where you can hear the sound. Talk with that person. Ask if they can hear the sound with the car off, with the car in the run position(not running), and with the car running. Take notes, If the car has rear air-ride it could be an air leak. But it could also be the fuel-pump or an exhaust leak.
