Capitalization in Phonebook

I've read the manual and still can't figure out how to capitalize anything except the first letter (this is automatic) of a name I am putting in the phonebook of my Motorola V170 . If I want to put in a last and first name of an entry, I can't capitalize both. HELP!!

    Thanks.

I did see that in the manual but either I don't understand it, I'm totally a dork or it doesn't work.

I'll keep trying to figure it out.

Per that manual: Use the up/down arrow keys to capitalize or lowercase respectively.
FYI - it doesn't work. It will, quite randomly, change to upper or lower case lettering, but I have not figured out the combination of keys that make this happen.
    Very annoying phone for texting.

Same deal here. Sometimes it texts in all caps.

Thanks! The arrow keys will change the letters, you have to hit the arrow quick enough for it to work.

Hello,

I have found a link to the V170 manual in PDF format, and on the left hand side of the manual under ENTERING TEXT it has a section on capitalization.
Please compare against your own phone to see if it matches.

Good luck and thanks for capitalizing!

4. Incorrect Login Credentials Upon turning to the office you turn on your computer, Upon entering your user name and password, an error message appears stating that your password is in correct.

One of the causes of this is when your internet cable in plugged without an internet.
*Solution: restart comp without any internet coming in (in case if its your internet's fault).
Other causes are the capitalization of the letters.
*Check weather you pressed the right buttons and see if your letters where capitalized or not.

Turning off first word capitalization in MS Word

In the upper left corner of Microsoft Word the page there is a button, click on it. A drop-down menu will appear. Look at the bottom of the menu where there are two buttons that read 'Word Options' and 'Exit'. Click on 'Word Options'. A new menu will appear, on the left panel there is a list of categories you can choose from, locate the one that says 'Proofing' and click on it. Now a different section of the word options menu is open. The first thing you will see in Proofing is the Autocorrect options section, click on the autocorrect options button. A pop-up will appear, where you can change your autocorrect settings. To turn off first word capitalization click the checkbox next to where the label reads 'Capitalize first letters of sentences' and make sure it does NOT have a check in the box, then click OK.

Turn off automatic first letter capitalization in ms word

when it tries to do it next time, right click on the letter that was capitalized and it will give you this option "stop capitalizing for me"

You can also go to the file Menu>Options>Proofing and click on AutoCorrect Options... to select what automation you want turned on or off.

Gateway M460 capitalization issues

Try both shift keys, the left one may have died. Otherwise use Caps Lock.

Try this:
Navigate to Control Panel and double click Keyboard.
Select the Driver Tab at the top.
Now click Update Driver.

Updating the driver may work, otherwise a new board may be needed.

Take care!

On My Computer .net to register I enter the code words & letters but then it keeps rejecting because "Does not shown as above"

The code your entering has to be EXACT. These things can get tricky at time just keep retrying and make sure that you get the numbers letters and capitalization correct.

When typing text, the second line, first letter automatically becomes capitalized. And I have a suspicious green light on on the bulge out think at the top of the keyboard above the word DELL. I suspect...

The automatic capitalization of the first word of a sentence (assumed after you hit ENTER or RETURN on your keyboard) is a feature of the software you are using that you must disable to stop this. In Microsoft Word, it is under Tools and Auto Correct, in other programs it may be under preferences or settings.

When placing names in phonebook--How do you make a capital letter? I just purchased the Model KX-TG6423 and I was putting names in so I could dial by pressing on key. I like to Capitalize the first letter...

press the same letter key repeatedly which should change the case sensitive to capital or lower on the 2nd pass.

If not the device simply does not support it.
