Did you use it before you charged it the first time ?? If so it may never take a full charge because ive been told they are set at what ever the first charge is set at and they dont come fully charged.

SOURCE: Battery will not charge
looks like the solution is pay a bloody fortune to lg to check if they can fix it or do what im doing and buying a desk top charger i have all ready bought a second battery so that way one can be in the phone while the other one is charging .they only cost about 10 dollars ill let you know how that goes

battery may show fully charged while charging, but it can noot hold the charge. So you need a new battery. If under warranty ask Verizon for replacement.

This problem cannot be fixed. You'd have to return your Gravity 3 and exchange it for another model. It's a known problem with Samsung and should acknowledge it and recall this product (or fix it with a software update free of charge). I spent a whole day at different T-Mobile stores and finally a rep showed me the technical bulletin on it and exchanged the phone.

SOURCE: I have a new Sony
You probably have multiple apps running and don't know it!!!!! My friend suggested this to me and so far it has helped.... I downloaded Advanced Task Killer and I "kill" everything that I'm not using. The only thing that bothers me and I wish I could figure it out..... if I check this task killer once per hour, there are so many apps that are open that I didn't even use. I'm not sure why this is happening and havent had a chance to figure it out. But I hope this helps, I can be long winded for nothing so.....there's my two cents, hope it works out for you =)
