Question about Flat Panel Televisions

1 Answer

How do I connect my Vizio 42' Gallevia to my DVD home entertainment center? I want it to play through my speaker system. I have tried the analog and the optical outputs but still get nothing. The only thing I know to try with the TV is to turn the speakers off. That does work. What am I doing wrong. Please advise. Thanks for your help in advance. Regards, Will

Standby power usage of the 42" Vizio Gallevia?

According to a Cnet review of the 42" Vizio Gallevia, the standby power usage is only .75 watts. Because it is so low, I now have no concern about leaving the set in standby mode. Virtually no savings to be realized by unplugging the set between usage.

I turn on the tv and it has a blue screen and no

Just try to reset so picture will back to normal again, some LCD TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.
1. Unplug the LCD TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the LCD TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the LCD TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the LCD TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the LCD TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the LCD TV.

Hope it may help you;
