Question about Brother IntelliFax-4100e Fax
Intellifax 4100e was working until it smelled like something was burning. At that point it would not do anything. Is there a way I can remove the cover to see what might be damaged inside the machine?
Do you think it's worth repairing?
Unfortunatley, with laser printers it is not unusual to notice a burning smell. Sometimes that could mean that there is paper jammed inside your fuser assembly and it is being burned when power is applied. However, there could be a number of reasons why the machine won't function. My recommendation is to have a certified technician look at the machine for you. It may cost you $45-$75 to have someone check it out for and tell you what the cost would be to fix.
