More than likely the unit has failed. This can be due to too large a load put on it and causing it to fry its internal components or it just failed.

The price of these things is so low (in the below 2500 Watt range) that they are considered throw away items. Ebay list many many different ones and your best bet is to buy what you can afford that has about double the rated power of what you expect to load it with. NOT THE PEAK POWER!!!!! The rated power. A lot of sellers will list the PEAK power but the unit is rated to continuously put out half of that so beware and only buy from honest sellers who list both or list it as "continuous rated power".

Whywont my px-150 wont turn on after storm?

Sorry to hear about your grief. Obviously, the problem is either inside or outside the instrument. If it is inside, you need more technical help than I can supply. However, before you seek out sophisticated assistance, there are a few simple tests that may identify an outside-the-instrument problem. First, check for power in your wall outlet. Unplug your instrument power adapter and plug in a lamp you know to be working. If the lamp illuminates in the wall receptacle, you know then the wall plug is good. If the lamp does not light up from that wall outlet, that suggests you need to try your instrument in another receptacle, preferably in another part of your house. If you are sure you have good power in the receptacle you are using, the next thing to check out is whether your power adapter is putting out good 12 volt current. The best test for this is to use the voltmeter function from a multi-tester. These devices are cheap. Harbor Freight sells them for $4, and sometimes even gives them away for coupons to get people into their stores. If you lack a testing device, you can still check for current coming out of the plugged in adapter by creating a dead short across the output plug. Do this gingerly with a small screw driver, avoiding skin contact with any metalic item. Look for small sparks when you briefly touch the screw driver across the plug contacts. It the sparks are there, you know there is current coming out of the adapter. The absence of sparks says the adapter is dead. So, get a new one. I wish you good luck, and hope one of these simple solutions solves your problem. Once you are back in business making music, you may want to consider getting a surge protector and/or unplugging the power adapter during electrical storms. This will reduce your vulnerability to similar future grief. Truly.

The simplest advice is to check the power connections. If connected to the cigar lighter / power outlet of the car, remove & reinsert the plug into the outlet.
Still no luck?
Try powering up the detector in another vehicle's cigar lighter / power jack. If it works - try again in your car. The problem is not with the detector, but rather with the installation in your car.
If wired directly to an accessory terminal or other place in the car, check the connection(s) and cable for damage.
If you can't try it in another car, try plugging another device into the outlet to see if it works or check and replace any blown fuse for the outlet. You should consult your car's owner's manual for the fuse box location - and the location and amp rating of the fuse for the outlet.
Check the power cord. Make sure the cord is fully inserted into the detector - not hanging in the jack. The opposite end - that goes into the cigar lighter / power outlet *may* have a built in fuse in the tip. You should check to see if the center tip of the plug unscrews to provide access to the fuse. If it does, replace any blown fuse with the same type and amp rating and try again.
If you were unable to check in another car and you are still unable to power up the detector, there may be an internal problem with detector itself. In this case, contact the manufacturer for additional help.

Trying to find replacement electric cord for Lakewood mc 24 lg drum fan

The Lakewood fan uses a computer power supply type female plug.
This is known as a C13 plug: three rectangular female outlets in a triangular pattern.
You should be able to find this type of plug at a good electronics store;
Fry's Electronics would be a good choice.
It may not come in the 10 foot length of the original, but that is what extension cords are for. :)

Hi my ice maker is not working howcan i get it fix?

Hello, First check to see if the light comes on or if there is any fan, motor, or other sound coming from the appliance? If so, the refrigerator isn't really completely stopped. Try adjusting the thermostat to a cooler setting, if that doesn't work, read on.
Secondly, check to see if there is power getting to the refrigerator. To do that, plug a lamp, or other device into the same outlet the refrigerator is plug into. If there is no power, check the fuse or the circuit breakers. If the fuses or circuit breakers aren't the problem, contact a qualify electrician to restore power to the outlet.
If there is power to the appliance but it seems to be stopped, there may be a problem in one or more of these.
1. Wiring
2. Thermostat
3. Defrost Timer
4. Compressor
5. Overload and / relay.

My Lasko Pedestal fan just stopped working completely

Its probably something simple, plug it into another outlet and make sure that outlet work also, if that dont work it will be in the control switch and i doubt the motor is burnt up. You can take srew driver and open up the control cover to see if there a fuse and check the wiring connection from the outlet to the control switch and make sure the fan is unplug before you open up the cover. Jiggle the wire inside the control unit than press and play with the button couple of time and plug it back into the outlet and see that will work. if not than have somone test the the motor with a volt meter making sure the motor still good. I believe it be more likely in the control swith unit. hope that work for ya

do any of the lights come on when you press the power button? if nothing comes on, then check the GFI outlet and see if it has tripped. quick check would be to unplug the washer from the wall and plug in a lamp. if the lamp doesn't work either, then the outlet doesn't have power.

either the GFI needs to be reset or the circuit breaker at the main panel needs to be reset. one GFI will control a couple of outlets that could be exposed to water (eg, bathrooms, laundry rooms, outdoors, etc). you'll need to find the one and hit the RESET button on the outlet.

if the GFI outlet is reset and still no power to the lamp, then find the circuit breaker panel (usually in a garage, basement or outdoors). open the door and see if one of the breakers has tripped. reset it (or replace if its an old style glass fuse) and see if power is now restored to the outlet cause the lamp now lights up.

if power is there to the outlet, but the washer still will not come on (and either work or display error codes), then one more thing to check is the connection at the machine/motor control unit (connector P13 at the unit). disconnect the washer from the wall outlet. to access P13, you'll have to remove the top console panel (its the one that has all on the buttons on it). its held on with 3 screws on the back that you can get to from the top (no need to move the washer out from the wall). loosen the screws, tip the the panel forward and lift it up. it will be connected to the computer board, so just move it out of the way. P13 will have the large black wires going to it. give it a push to see if its not locked in place. if you hear a "click", then it was not properly connected. you can remove it and reinstall it if you want, but make sure the machine is not plugged into the wall outlet.

put the console back together, plug the washer in and see if it works. if it still doesn't power up, then sounds like the computer board is dead and you'll need a new one. its about $150 from searspartsonline. replacing it is easy, but sears may pay $150 towards labor and $100 towards parts. give them a call.

good luck.

Front panel Ac Switch failing to start computer.

Try these steps.
If Power supply light does not turn on (or no power supply LED)
Perform the following steps, in order, until power is restored or it is determined that there is a hardware failure:
NOTE: If the Power Supply fan spins when the PC is turned on but the light does not come on, it is possible the LED is defective. If this is the case, use the section Power supply light comes on or flashes .
1. Disconnect everything from the PC, including the power cord.
2. With the power cord disconnected, press the power button on the front of the computer. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
3. Replace the power cord with another power cord, like the one used by the monitor.
Test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
4. Ensure that the voltage selector switch is on the correct setting, 115V for North America.
5. With the power cord removed, flip the red voltage selector switch to the opposite position, wait about five seconds, and then switch the red voltage selector switch back to its original location.
This ensures that the voltage switch is engaged and set correctly for your country/region.
6. Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
7. Plug a lamp into the same outlet to see if the wall outlet has power. Try the computer in a different outlet in order to eliminate the outlet as a possible source of the issue. Test both to see if the wall outlets have power.
8. Remove all extension cords, power strips, surge protectors and any converters that remove ground. Plug the power cable directly to the wall outlet. Test for power. If this fixes the issue, find the device that is causing the issue and do not use it.
9. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the build-up of dust from the power supply fan vent holes. Make sure that the PC is turned off and that the power cord is plugged into a grounded outlet. Only use the end of the vacuum hose near the outside of the fan entrance.
Plug in the power cord and test to see if the computer can turn on. If not, continue using these steps.
10. If all of the above steps have been tried and the power supply light remains off, use the steps in the next section, use the next section Power supply light comes on or flashes , to reseat the cables and check the power switch connector.
