I didnt want KNctr I want it deleted but cant dont know how this showed up on my comptuer.

Down on the right corner of your desktop you will see some small icons next to the clock (Thats called the system tray area). There may be an arrow in the system tray if your pc isn't set to show all items in the system tray. If you place your mouse over each icon in system tray one of them should say its the 'knctr icon'. Right mouse click the icon and then left click 'Shutdown'. After that go in to the control panel -> programs and features -> find the program on the list and 'Uninstall' the program. Reboot after uninstall and it should be gone.

Hope that helps.

My volume icon on the task bar has disappeared, how do I get it back

Open the TASK MANAGER, open the PROCESSES tab, highlight "explorer.exe", click on "end process", Open "file", "New Task", Type "explorer" without quotation marks. OR Control Panel, Sound, depending on your OS, You will find a box to show tray icon. If it is checked, uncheck, apply, then check, apply. The Task Manager will remove stored icons that fill the program, and restart the icons.

I cant hear sound for my computer

Assuming you used to hear sounds, you could have one of several problems.
1) Your speakers are turned off (is the little light on the speakers green?)
2) The volume is turned down or muted. Check to be sure you haven't accidentally muted them. You can find this out by clicking the little speaker icon in the system tray and seeing if the mute box is checked or check the sounds icon in the control panel.
3) Something happened to the sound driver. If you are in the Control Panel and click on sounds, you should see the various sound assigned to computer events. If you click the arrow to test play the sound and the little arrow is grayed out, then the sound drivers are missing or corrupt and must be reloaded.
4) Your speakers could be bad.

I cant hear any sound from the built in speakers

Ensure that the system volume is turned up and not muted. There should be an icon for the volume controls in your system tray at the bottom right of the screen. Or you can click on Start > Control Panel > Sound.

Icon for speakers gone

Dear Jesuslovsu,
Please go to control panel --> Sound and Audio device properties and select the check box that says "Place volume icon in the taskbar"
If these controls are greyed out then you might want to install the sound card drivers ones again... The CD might have come along with your computer purchase kit.
If that doesn't resolve the issue then kindly let me know and I would be glad to assist you ahead.
Hope that helps.

Srinivas
