Hi, The filter is located behind the kickplate. You can see the handle for the filter in the kick plate. I believe you turn the filter handle Counter clock wise to remove it. It will tke a little bit of force. Yes this filters the water in the door.
Let me know If I canassist you further. Thanks

Assuming the freezer is adequately cool, it sounds like the freezer fan is not running. This fan transfers chilled air to the refrigerator section. The fan should be located behind an access plate in the freezer. If it's running, you should be able to hear it. If you can't hear it, remove the access plate and look at it. If it's not turning, you will need to replace the fan motor.

SOURCE: whirlpool side by side refrigerator laeking form

It sounds as though your filter which screws into the front at the bottom kick plate is bad . The rubber seals on them tend to go bad causing them to leak into the drip pan and causing it to overflow . This will appear to be a leak when in actuality , all you need to do is replace the filter .

How can I lock the wheels?

Hello Anthony;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Whom ever installed your refrigerator did not do a good job.

You did not provide a model number which is located on a label in the liner inside your fresh food section.

1.) You have a bottom grill or toe plate in the bottom front of your refrigerator. Remove this. It is held in place by either a fastener screw one on each side or clips about 2" in form each side. Either remove the screws if you have them or just pull on the bottom grill straight out to remove it.

2.) Generally you have two leveling screws one on each side of your refrigerator. Turn them clock wise to raise the front end of your refrigerator. You want to raise them to the point where you hold the doors open half way and the backward tilt will close the door without you shutting it.

Get back to me with the model number. There are several other locking and adjustment mechanisms, if I have guessed wrong.

I need to clean the grill in hotpoint refrigerator. When I hope the door to the freezer there two screws hold down grill. The refrigerater is model No. HTS16HBMBRCC HOTPOINT

General Electric (GE) Profile refrigerators have a grille on the bottom of the front of the refrigerator. The grille allows air to be pulled from the kitchen into the lower compartment of the appliance by the condenser fan, which cools the refrigerator's compressor. At times this grille must be removed, such as when you are cleaning the compressor, emptying and cleaning the drain pan or adjusting the refrigerator's leveling legs to level the appliance. The grille is designed for easy removal: It is secured in place using only two screws
  • 1 Open the refrigerator doors to at least 90 degrees.
  • 2 Remove the two Phillips screws securing the grille to the cabinet. They are at the top portion of the front of the grille.
  • 3 Pull the grille away from the front of the cabinet to remove it.

  • Phillips screwdriver
    will be needed

Whirlpool ref model #ED5PVEXVS00, need filter for this model. We don't know the part number needed or where on the refrigerator that the filter is located. Please help with both

The original part number is 4396841; cartridge T2RFWG2. The filter fits into the grill at the bottom of the refrigerator (nearly centered on the left hand side of the grill). There is a cap covering the filter.

The fridge can be used without a filter if the cap is taken off the old filter and put back into place. For a diagram that includes the filter and grill location see: . The filter is part 30 in the diagram. The entire set of parts diagrams, leading to parts list and prices are available here: .

Another on-line source for the filter is: .

    I hope this helps.

Whirlpool Gold. Front grill won't come off.

when you remove this grill it feels as if it will break before coming off. the trick for removing it is to grab in the center near the bottom and then pull up and out. it will flex alot and feel as if it might break put it will pull loose from the clips on either end. open the doors when removing it to give you plenty of room.
to reinstall line the 2 "c" clips on eihter end with the with the reciever clips on the unit then push into the clips.
the grill will not break if done this way. message me back if you have nay further questions thanks Peyton

    Bottom grill

All of the bottom grills are removable. They snap in very tight and I always worry that Ill break it. They push into a clip on each end. On the Amana they instruct to pull out from the bottom on each side. Suggest looking for user manuel on web for your simular model for specific instructions!
