For crystal glass awards, it will be the deal of Hoult hellewell that suits you more than anyone else. We are in deal with them for more than three years. I have nothing to quote about other than their excellence. It will be surely worth looking into.

I have a DZ-5114 diesel watch, and I messed up the crystal faceplate and want to replace it. I've asked Diesel to help me but the has been no response. A local jeweler offered to replace it if I could...

I have just had a look at the image on this there is a black painted frame around the edge of this model and it is an unusual shape you could email diesel and ask them for the glass for this model and pay by credit card and take it to your jeweller he will have to fit it using uv glass cement anything else could react with the painted frame and look unsightly

The glass face of this watch has cracked-please advise how to get it replaced and estimated cost--thnak you located eastern massachusetts, usa

Good luck finding a crystal, took me 2 years to find one for my bedat 384 women's watch! Finally took a shot and got one on eBay by luck. I haven't had mine fixed yet but hopefully soon. The crystal alone was 100$ and I have no clue what they will charge me to put in the new crystal. I was given a quote of 200$ over 2 years ago when it first happened.

The crystal is scratched, can I fix that myself?

Thanks for contacting FIxYa.
  • Use a jeweler's loupe to identify all scratches on the watch crystal. You do not have to remove the watch crystal from the watch.
  • Use a polishing cloth to remove dirt, grit, lint or any debris on the watch crystal. Squeeze a small amount of standard toothpaste with abrasive properties onto the watch crystal. Gently brush the toothpaste into the crystal for five minutes. Wipe clean the watch crystal. and repeat another five minutes.
  • Use the jeweler's loupe to inspect your progress. Repeat application if necessary. Apply Brasso polish once the watch crystal is wiped clean. This will polish the crystal to a clear, bright shine.
  • Apply Autosol or Polywatch to the watch crystal in the same manner as toothpaste if you prefer to use a product specifically designed for watch crystals. These products will provide the same results as toothpaste. You may also apply Cerium Oxide, a glass scratch remover used specifically in the window manufacturing industry.
  • Apply a small amount of 3-micron diamond paste using your finger or a Kleenex if removing scratches from a sapphire crystal. Rub the paste in for about five minutes. Remove paste with cloth. Buff the sapphire crystal with one-quarter micron buffing diamond paste for finishing.
  • Use a toothpick to remove excess polish and gunk that may accumulate between the crystal and the bezel that secures the crystal in place. Gently work the toothpick around the diameter of the bezel. Wipe the bezel clean with a cloth.
  • Buff the watch crystal with a polishing cloth.

  • OR..take to a local jeweler/watchmaker.
    Best regards. Jewel

I WOULD LIKE TO ITS TRUE VALUE

mcdevito75 here, Many factors figure in the value of a watch, Of course you have a NAME watch Longines which helps a great deal, First, if the hands are thick, the watch is before 1969, if they are thin, anywhere after 1969, Original strap or band conts, a good, good replacement band is ok. the appearance of the watch, no scratches opr buffing, scrapping on the caseing, no scratches or cracks in the crystal (glass) of course being vintage there will be some evidence of age, and lastly time keeping, if your Longines works well keeps time all day, I estmate it"s value, anywhere from $125.00--------- $200.00. You can also check a small watch repair shop in your area or jewelery shop, they will usually give a rough estmate of value for free.

    Broken galss

mcdevito75 here, helloarcus, look for a small watch repair shop in your area in Hong Kong you shouldn't have any problems getting a new glass (crystal) for your calvin Klein watch, However since you say the watch is new, contact Calvin Klien and let them know of the broken glass, see if it's on any kind of warranty, the paper work with your watch should have the contact info.

Hello! I would like to ask you some questions about how to repair my watch (Ck Flash K3424104). Unfortunately I drooped it down about a few days ago. So now its glass is broken and I don't know what to do....

mcdevito75 Here, hello vera, you won"t have any trouble finding a watch repair in MN USA I figure a watch Crystal (glass) could cost $25.00 To $40.00 depending on the watch itself, and if the crystal (Glass) is Glass, Mineral, or Plastic. You may save a little money In MN USA by going to a small watch repair center over one of the very big fancy Jewelers. Regards, mcdevito75

I have scuffed my glass face on my hugo boss maxx watch

A watchmaker or some jewelry stores can order it for you if they don't have a suitable replacement in stock. Depending on the severity of the damage they may be able to buff out the existing crystal to almost new condition. As long as it's not cracked it can usually be buffed out for just a few dollars.

I am a retail jeweler. We broke a cust.'s crystal when changing a battery. Need help in getting new crystal. Lds. 14kt,rect. milor,Italy. Please help

This is hard one. First advise is to contact manufacturer. If no success there, then you have to find out any watch repair shop with watch glass cutting services. I used to order obsolete watch glasses to cut over here in England, so, should be similar service in USA. Last and most expensive thing is to buy KRONOGLASS cutting machine, but you will be able to cut watch glasses in the future and provide this service yourself. Not much, but at least you have an idea where to look for. Rate me, plz.

My problem is not mechanical. Rather, an issue of authenticity. I see a lot of information regarding replica LUMINOX watches. My question is: How can a potential buyer detect a "fake" from the real-deal?

Well I'm, not an expert of fake Luminox, only the real ones, but I will tell you that a 'real' Luminox will be heavy to the touch, good quality steel...another thing that is a must if it is real is the glass tubes on the hands and on the dial at the hour markers...they are very small glass tubes that are not 'charged' by putting in light, they stay lit regardless of any surrounding factors...most fake watches will have 'painted' on glow onto the dial and especially the hands...this model also has a screw-down crown and sapphire crystal...hope this has helped...good luck :)
