Hi first check the voltage.if it is  To initiate the procedure, one must first turn the key anticlockwise (locking the car) 4 times. The 4-digit EKA code can then be entered- first clockwise, then anti, etc. After all 4 numbers have been entered, turn once more clockwise to unlock the vehicle, disarm the alarm, and re-mobilise the engine.

The transmitter and receiver synthesizer monitors four channel select lines (CSEL3 to CSEL0) that are connected at the rear of the motherboard. The states of these channel select lines will determine the channel that the transmitter or receiver will operate on. The channel select lines operate in a binary fashion, where a high (+9.5Vdc) is a ‘1’ and a low (ground) is a ‘0’. The channel select lines are read from Most Significant Digit (CSEL3) to Least Significant Digit (CSEL0) and form a four digit binary code.
A binary code of 0000 (all four channel select lines grounded) will result in transmitter or receiver operation on channel 1. A binary code of 0001 will result in transmitter or receiver operation on channel 2, and so forth. A binary code of 1111 (all four channel select lines at +9.5 Vdc) will result in transmitter or receiver operation on channel 16.
Control of the channel select lines can be done by three different methods:

    A) The motherboard has four channel select jumpers and a power enable jumper for each transmitter and receiver in the subrack. These jumpers can be selected in the +9.5 Vdc position (1 or up) on the motherboard or in the grounded (0 or down) position. The power enable jumper must be installed for these jumpers to operate.
    B) Rotary switches can be mounted on the front of the Audio Control Card and wired into the channel select jumpers allowing control of channel selection through 16 position selectable front panel rotary switches.
    C) The channel select lines can be routed to an external source through the auxiliary control connector on the motherboard, allowing channel selection by third party equipment such as tone remote adapters.

If you canot find the code, there is a way to get the code for the radio.
1--remove the plastic cover plate from the radio surround - it should come right off if you pull on it.
2--insert an 1/8" round something ( usualy an allen key will do ) into the holes at either side of the top of radio, this will release the radio from the casing. Pull it out.
3--the code is written sometimes on top or bottom or both sides of radio.
re-assemble everything by pushing it back in ( remember to write it down somewhere for future reference, Sharpie works great at inside of the glove compartment ) follow above previous instructions to reset the code input.

WE NEED A CODE FOR A RANGE ROVER 2001 FOR THE RADIO

if the owner manual is in the car, look through it for the 4 digit code. Otherwise, call your local Land Rover dealer and provide them with the VIN of your truck and they will provide you the code. If the code will not punch in, hold firmly the BND button until the display says code in.

The rev counter indicates 500 revs on tick over

If you have the correct 4 digit code, you should be able to input it right in. After 3 unsuccessful attempts i will lock out. Push the BND button and hold until radio says code in.

2 ways to get the correct code
1. Giving your VIN# to the land rover dealer in exchange for the radio.
2. If that code doesn't work, you will need to have the radio pulled and provide them with the serial # to the radio and provide that to the dealer.

You require an unlock code/ security code from the dealer. This will consist of 4 numbers. You can then input this code into the door lock to clear imobiliser. You will have to do this every time until you have your remote replaced or repaired. There is a procedure for inputting the code. What the display through the window with the door closed. You need to turn key to unlock or lock (depends on model) until you see the display react to your input. Once this happens you are ready to input the code. If for example the code was 3241 and you have turned it 4 times to the unlock position (most likely) you would start by turning it 3 times to the unlock, 2 times to the lock, 4 times to the
unlock, 1 time to the lock, pause then unlock the car and start the engine. It sounds tricky but once you get the hang of it its not too bad. If when you start to input the code it starts locking and unlocking the central locking is is not accepting the code. The difficult bit is getting it to recognise you are inputting the code. The central locking will do nothing during the code entry. Best doing this when the light is fading as its easier to see the display in the dashboard. Thats it, all you've got to do now is find the code. Often on a card inside the owners service books if still around!!
Good Luck John
