Question about Kenmore 24 in. 15689 Built-in Dishwasher
When I turn it on in few minutes it turns off. Then it shows PF. I keep closing the door b4 I get PF and it starts and again turns off. If I wait for more it will show PF again. I have to sit there and every time it turns off I got to open and close door in time not to show PF. If it shows PF I have to restart the whole cycle again. Please direct me trouble shooting this. Thanks

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

call sears, 1-800-4MY-HOME. They have a trouble-shooting department that will get rid of this problem. It is caused by water temperature being wrong at the start of the cycle.... blah, blah, blah. The representative will tell you to push a certain set of buttons in a certain order and that unlocks the dishwasher.
Sorry I don't know the sequence

That is a comon problem with that model. It is not sensing a temperature change in the water.
Push i believe it is heated dry and sani rinse going back and fourth between the two to clear the code and see if you can get it to complete a cycle. If it doesnt call sears and schedule service there is a service flash repair that should not cost you anything to repair the unit.

SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher
check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!
