Question about MTX JackHammer JH600 Car Audio Amplifier

Open Question

MTX Jackhammer JH600- 4 burnt FETs, cant find replacement FETs.

The FETs have a funky looking F at the top left corner then N527AB and 75339P at the bottom, can anyone point me in the right direction so that I can order new ones and put the right FETs back in the amp? Also I cant really identify which side this part of the amp is, Power or Output? Theres a large heatsink in the middle of the board but the heatsink is cut kind of in half, one half has 4 FETs on it, then the other half has 2 RECs and 4 FETs? I think im on the Power side?

Hi i have a mtx jackhammer JH202 amp and a mtx jackhammer jJH5510D sub and every so often when a song is playing there will be bass and al of a sudden it will shut off and after a few minutes it will come...

The problem was caused by you trying to run a 2OHM load on an amplifier which is designed to run only on 4OHM when it is bridged, the amplifier is most definatley cooked. An authorized MTX technician should take a look at it, to determine just how wide spread the damage is.

Blown Voltage regulators

that first number most likely is 2N414A. Goto NTE cross refference web site and put this number in, it will show you a cross for it with a picture of the transistor to match it to the one you have. Hope this helps good luck.

Trying to find the right FET to replace burnt up ones with

hafler use international rectifier hexfets. there is alot of confusion what constitutes a mosfet amplifier.
if the outputs are mosfets instead of bipolar transistors, it is a mosfet amp.
some designs are using mosfets to drive the switch mode power supply, but use bipolar output transistors.that is not a true mosfet amp.
you need to go to an electronic supplier for the repair industry.
or the manufacturers warranty depot, who will be able to order them.mosfets are very high current devices, you have to ask ...why did they fail. if they are the switch mode drivers, there is bad capacitors in that circuit

Take this apart and look at the magnet wire windings look for any thing broke or burnt. If not it is very likely it is more cost effective to buy new.
