Make sure that your system meets minimum requirement for playing it. Game may freeze due to less available hard disk, low capacity RAM and processor. So I would suggest you to follow these simple tips to avoid your games from freezing:-
- Disinfect your system using some reliable antivirus program. - Upgrade hardware (RAM, CPU, graphics card, etc.) - Uninstall unnecessary programs (Games, crapware, toolbars, etc.) - Click Start> 'Run' Type msconfig > Enter > Start Up. Uncheck the boxes for the programs that you think you may not use often. - Clean all the junk files, registry errors and all the cache (Must use reliable program like I always use PCFresher for it.)
What is probably happening is that the disk is either too scratched or too dirty to be read by the PS2's optical drive. Try cleaning the disk with a disc cleaning kit or by simply rubbing in with a microfiber cloth or 100% cotton shirt. If that fails to make it clean enough to be read, then you will have to get another, cleaner copy of Kingdom Hearts 2.
Possibly the disk, you need to clean it with disk cleaner. If the trouble still persist, it's the lens problem.
Open the case, then the mechanical case, after you see the lens, use a soft cotton buds, then put it in alcohol, then rub the lens firmly. After that rub again with cotton buds without the alcohol, that should fix the problem.
That happened to me as well. I basically had to keep playing the game through without stopping.. which isn't hard. its an easy game. also, try having multiple saves. that often times works. like save in 3 slots each time you save. I also had to do this back with FF9.
If i am thinking right??? kingdom hearts takes up about a third of the memory card to save. If you have 2 memory cards that are almost full but you can transfer a couple of games that you can transfer and fill one up then you should be able to get atleast 1/3 empty on the other. If you dont have two then ask a buddy to lend you the space for a couple of minutes and then try it. But dont do the same games that he has already on there because some games copy and replace old files. In other words you will save your game over his and he will loose his. If that dont work then it is most likely the memory card and there is not to much you can do without getting another.
