Reset maintanice light

Undo your battery for a couple of minutes worked on the older models. I believe this is the procedure for yours.
Turn ignition key to 'ON' and press the odometer button until the display reads ODO... not Trip A or B.
Turn ignition key to OFF.
Hold in the same button you used in step 1.
While holding the button in, turn ignition key to 'ON'.
ODOMETER will change to
5 dashes - - - - -
Then 4 dashes - - - -
Then 3 dashes - - -
Then 2 dashes - -
Then 1 dash -
THEN all zeros 0 0 0 0 0
Then back to the correct mileage
The Maintenance Required light should blink and go out.

I have. Ducati DS1000 multistrada 05, had to remove flat battery, it was out for 2 days. Put new battery in, now my odometer has been reset to 0 zero, why?, can I recover old odometer reading.

haha ps don't tell ducati ... you will have to go to a main dealers for this and still I doubt they have the tools to sort this one ....memory is saved on your cdi unit (basically a mini computer ....removing the battery should NOT have affected it

Chevy cavalier 2005 87000 miles remote flakey, odometer won't display milage but will display trip data?

Hello William,

The key fobs are wearing out and need to be replaced. Sometimes taking them apart and cleaning the switch contacts and battery contacts will extend their lives but they are not built to last.

I believe your vehicles ECU sends the mileage data to the instrument panel cluster...in which the LCD odometer display has failed.

New engine

no they are not required to, because the mileage is on the whole car and not on the engine, since there is many many parts than get older whit the mileage like wheel bearing transmission etc,
the original mileage has to stay the same, the only time they are required to reset the mileage is when the instrument cluster is been replace, it has to read exactly same as the old one,
example, if your car is currently reading 36000 by replacing the cluster it has to be set at 36000, having a new motor does not mean than the car is new again,
