Re: I want my printer to print wirelessly
First you have to make sure that the printer has a wireless card. If the device does not you must purchase and have it installed. Also your computer needs to be hooked to a wireless router or have a wireless card installed so that the printer and computer can both be seen and communicate. Some printers, depending on age, can not be upgraded to be wireless.

A couple things to check............1) You need to go into control panel, and "add printer". It will walk you through it. Make sure your printer has the wireless button pushed so it can read it. Your printer will then show up under "devices" under 'hardware' in the control panel.
2) Some printers you have to have connected to your computer with an ethernet cable the 1st time to get it set up. 3) do a windows update to make sure you have the correct driver. Most printers come with a disk that will walk you through everything. 4) Just make sure your wifi button on your computer (mine is f12) is turned on also........ 5) Some printers are not compatible with certain operating systems...i.e Windows 7 or Windows Vista... Make sure yours is. If not, go to the printer website and look for support. Sometimes there is a generic driver you can download that will work. Finally.........Sometimes you just have to keep trying things, as it can be a pia if you haven't ever done it before! :
You can change the settings under printing preferences, just follow the steps below:

Side Flip is the setting most often used. 5 Click OK to close any printer software dialogs. 6 Click OK or Print.
