I tried renting another copy and same thing. I tried updating my system, same thing. I changed my BD internet connection from allow to confirm and selected no once I started the movie and it worked. Hope I helped you!
The error code indicates that the PS3 is unable to contact the Playstation Network Servers. This may be caused by the PSN (Playstation Network) being under excessive load (often a result of new, significant DLC being released) or a problem with your router or ISP (Internet Service Provider).
On your Playstation 3, go to the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom and select Network Settings, then select Internet Connection Test. If you do not see success for Obtaining IP Address and Internet Connection, then there is a problem with the networking between your PS3 and the internet.
If you both of these connections prove successful, but you are still not able to sign in to the PSN, try:
Contact your ISP and see if they have some sort of outage in your area or are somehow hindering your connection to the Playstation Network.
This has more to do with your internet connection then it does your console. If your using wireless, be sure it's fast enough to handle video streaming. If your using a wired connection, Ethernet or the like, then check your service and make sure that again, yours is fast enough to handle video streaming.
your internet connection might not be up to standards with how fast the connection needs to be so sometimes ps3's will just refuse to update at all. PS if your connection is that bad there's no point going online anyway not with killzone
There isn't really going to be a "best" wireless Internet service. You just want the fastest that's available to you. Usually that's cable or DSL. I would recommend going with a wired connection instead of wireless, you will have a lot less of these issues. Good luck!
How are you hooked up to your Internet ? is it Via a WiFi Router ? if so, ensure that the router is compatible with the Playstation 3. Also, have you tried calling your internet service provider ? they are usually able to solve connection problems with regards to game consoles etc.
