Can't exit the menu screen!

I have a Magnavox 32MF231D/37 and I can't exit out of the menu screen. When I scroll down to exit, select, then move to exit, it starts the menu process over again. Is there a reset to correct this problem?

I have the same problem. When trying to exit the menu screen, it just goes right back to the menu. After exiting 20+ times, it will finally let us watch tv, but it does this every day.

At the main menu roll down to "Exit", and hold down the volume up "+" on the top TV and click "OK". But you have to hold for good and it work. You have 2 choice:

1- Use something to tie it down for good.
2- Or you remove that small board on the Top tv and use jumper wire solder to short the switch out (the switch at volume up "+").

Somehow, those swithes are parallel. They are input signal send to main board. This is small problem, we can use this solution to make it work. When i got time to troubleshoot the main board from that input signal. It's not worth to buy a new main board "$150 and up". I just bought a new 32 Cobby for $200 from Fry on sale last week. Good luck

If it's a V-Chip, Parental Control issue, here's the solution. Make sure RF coaxial cable is connected to TV. Press "V-Chip Menu" on the remote. On Password, press "Enter" on the remote. In Password, enter 666666, then press "Enter". Scroll down to "Modify-PW" by using CH+ or CH- key, then press "Enter". Enter 000000, then press "Enter". Select" V-Chip Menu" to exit V-Chip. Select V-Chip Menu again. On "Password", press "Enter" key on remote control. Enter 000000 in "Password", then press "Enter". Scroll down to "V-Chip", press "Enter". TV should display a list of all TV ratings. Use CH+ or CH-, scroll to TV-Y. Then press "Enter" key on remote. Be sure that all ratings are set to "On". Repeat the steps above and set all ratings to "On". Then select "Exit", press "Enter". Press V-Chip Menu" to close on-screen menu.

An earlier post of the smaller model of this with the same problem said to remove the metal cover over the power supply.

I have the 26MF231D and it worked great afterward (even though you can't mount it)

Here is how you remove the cover.
