The green light indicates power is being applied. The change from green to red indicates that the power supply has failed

SOURCE: Sound but no Picture

Most likely it is the board on the lcd panel. The first question though is, can you get menus? If yes, it is the input module, if no, most likely the panel controller board. There are several makes of panels in these sets, so once diagnosed, we would need to know what panel you have to help further. I can help you figure that out once you let me know if you get menus or not.

I had a pwer supply for my Protron 32 inch TV that was not working. I bought the one on ebay and it stopped working after only three weeks. Ultimately I found a guy who could fix my original power supply for a reasonable price. It been working for a year now with no problems. I wish I would have tried him first!!!! If anyone is interested his email is dave@thola.com.

It looks like the power supply failed on your TV. The failure rate is about 95% in the power module.
There aren't service parts available to swap the entire assembly, the only option now will be to fix the power supply to the component level.
Let me know if you need more assistance. You can write to my email address jah2mil@hotmail.com
