SOURCE: Got a sceptre x20 and

More likely to have power supply problem due to bad caps, that will be the first thing to check.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

SOURCE: grier_rhow do you remove the bezel from the

Hi grier_r46,

Please follow the steps below on how to remove the bezel of your unit.

1. Locate the screws around the perimeter of the Sceptre X20G monitor's bezel.

2. These will likely still be covered with plastic seals, so pop these seals off first and then remove the screws with a hillips-head screwdriver.

3. Remove the Sceptre X20G monitor's bezel. It is now loose, so pull up one corner of the bezel and notice the plastic latches between the bezel and the rest of the display.

4. These continue to tenuously hold the bezel in place. Use a thin, non-metal object to pry between the bezel and the plastic latches.

5. This will unhook the bezel from the latches and allow for complete bezel removal. Take care not to damage the plastic latches during this process.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Have a Sceptre 32" TV that changes sources all by itself, how do I fix it?

Model Number?

It may have a setting to automatically switch to a new source. Check and see if that is off. Also, power down your other connected devices completely, as some will occasionally "ping" the TV to make it's still connected while in sleep/idle mode. The Nintendo Switch is especially bad at that.

The system goes into Sleep mode every 5 minutes and just before going into the sleep mode,''protection Error'' flases on the screen

Unfortunately, the unit is not going into "Sleep mode".
The PROTECTION error actually means that the unit is overheating.
The unit shuts itself off to avoid further damage.
Try to make sure that no other device is below the unit. Also make sure the unit has adequate ventilation on the back of it.
If not, call 1-800-7267864 and let them set up a repair order for the unit.

X20 workıng only when ı plug ıt to pc hellp

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
