SOURCE: need instructions for changing a drive belt on a John Deere LT155

I have googled LT155 and came upon john deere LT155 lawn tractor(noncurrent). It took me to John Deere's site. I put in your model number and it had several catagories. I would try the alphabetical list, go to B and look for traction belt.
Good day.

Park brake switch is the most likely culprit, any other would cause the tractor to not turn over in the crank position.

Hi

Please check for the anti back fire solenoid in the front of the carb. Check whether the wiring to it is fine and if it is getting +12 V. If yes then you maybe required to replace the solenod.
However, if this doesn't resolve the issue then you would need to adjust manually so that decompresser works normally. Inspect the flywheel key as well, it may have sheared.

Check the carb filter and the make sure there is no sign of water in/around the carbeurater. Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Why wont blades stay engaged ?

Check the drive pin in the tractor belt drive pulley. If the pin is broken it will have enough pull to turn the blades slow but will slip when the gas is applied. To repair you will need to remove the drive belt and take the pulley off the drive shaft and get a new pin and reinstal.

Drive does not work on a john deere 14sb

Wow a 14 sb, The best mower John Deere ever built. Hopefully its just the belt. If it is the transmission cable, they dont make it anymore.. You get a longer one. Before you buy anything, make sure the cable is routed correctly. Sometimes when you fold the handles the cable gets to the outside of the handles, it needs to stay on the inside and not bent ovet the take down knobs. If they are all routed good and it does need to be replaced you will need to order a new lever GX2206 and a new Push
nut GX10434, they are needed for the new cable to work. Hope this helps.

I have john deer sabre 18 horse i have a snow blade but cant get on right

Hello,

My name is Dane and I'll try to help you with your problem. I have given you the basic instructions here for mounting most john deere snow blades.

Here is a link to the parts diagram for the blade too.

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Sabre-john-deere-Parts/Riding-mower-tractor-Parts/Model-15538G/1828/1509200/10060752/00034

You need to remove the mower deck from the machine, and you may have to remove the front bumper as well.

First, install the mounting brackets on the tractor. Align the holes in each mounting bracket with the holes in the tractor frame. Install using the kit that comes with the mounting bracket. Don't tighten this yet.

Next you should install the pivot support. Insert the pins on the right and left hitch plates into the notches on the mounting brackets. Install the pins and tighten the screws on those mounting brackets now.

Next you should Install the blade. Align the holes in the pivot support with the second holes from the end of the push channel assembly. Insert the channel pin and washer and secure with the spring locking pin.

Install the lift handle. Slide the lift handle rod into the end hole in the push channel assembly. Insert the lift link pin in the pivot support bracket into the lift handle rod. Add the washers and locking pin.

Now, Iistall the blade pivot rod. Either end of the blade pivot rod goes through the blade pivot shaft. The other end goes through the lift handle tube. Secure both ends with locking pins.

Lubricate the lift handle rods and pivot points.

Install the rear tire chains and wheel weights.

I hope I've helped. If you found this information useful, please leave feedback as deserved. Thanks! Dane

MY CARBURETOR IS WEAR DOWNWHICH I BEEN PUTTING KITS SO SHOULD I BUY A NEW CARBURETOR FOR 2010 GAS MOTOR,it,s a john-deere tractor

Yes it is time to buy a new carberator unless you know someone who can make and install bushings in the trottle plate shaft, and choke shaft. What normally happens over time is the shaft wears into the housing as it is being used which allows ecsessive air into the fuel air mixer which causes inproper run conditions and no matter how much you adjust all the settings you cannot overcome this condition so its either get new bushings made and installed or purchase a new carberator. Hope This Helps Don
